trying to patch Misc Robots++
so im trying to make a personal patch to make Misc Robots++ able i was able to add the RimefellerCrafting workTypeDef to them but the job giver isnt firing so they wont work the console

afaik they are just animals, so they probably can't do manipulation or something like that

i would think they can do Manipulation since they can do other types of work that require Manipulation like all types of Crafting and Construction

oh i thought they just hauled stuff around, well i don't really know enough about the mod to help, its a pretty basic pawn job

Dubwise, this mod is amazing, thanks so darn much for all your hard work!

I'd love to know how you accomplish this, jkelley2, if you succeed. For some reason, my pawns just don't like using the Resource Console much, even though I have half a dozen of them with "Resource" at priority 1. I *LOVED* when my Crafting bots from Robots++ were able to run the console. I used to keep a couple bots zoned-in so that was their only job, and the crackers would never stop. Now, I'm constantly out of chemfuel. With Save our Ship, it's quite a challenge.

All good if there's no solution! Just wanted to give my thoughts since the topic was here.

havent figured it out yet ive gotten it so Omni-Bots to be able to research but i havent been able to get them to operate the console yet

also there are 2 versions(ish) Dub Misc Robots which only has the base hauling/cleaning and Misc Robots++ that has ones that do stuff like Crafting/Building/Cooking/Medical as well as the Hauling/Cleaning

the main issue im having seems to be that im giving the bot the workTypeDef but its not getting the WorkGiverDef

well i managed to get the bot able to work it but it makes the Resource work type redundant and all pawns will say "unable to do this work type cause health condition" and its less a patch like i was trying and more a hard edit of one of the XML files, it essentially just moved OperateResourceConsole back under Crafting instead of under Resource

well i got the patch to make the crafting/omni-bot work the console working it adds Resource to both Crafting and Omni-Bots and Research to Omni-Bots

That's fantastic! If you don't mind, where could I find such a patch? Unfortunately, I don't know much about messing with the guts of RimWorld besides hitting the "Subscribe" button ;)

should be the download for the file, depending on where you have misc robots++ installed it goes in 1 of 2 places either

1) rimworld/mods/747645520/patches

or

2) steamapps/workshop/content/294100/747645520/patches

Sorry, meant to thank you earlier! This works great :) Thanks a million for helping me out on this- I bet there'll be a lot of other who benefit (as long as they have strong Google-fu!)
