I'm having this issue as well, except in my case there's a time limit on my drop pods.

I'm running Rimworld of Magic, which includes a teleportation spell that spawns temporary drop pods (the cooldown is really long) and there's a time limit to fill the pod and send it or it explodes. :( The spells work like psycasts, except they consume mana instead of psychic energy, and have quite a cooldown. I've been trying to use them to send back stuff at caravan events that I can't haul back, or to get back more quickly and safely, but my pawns keep taking all day to load the pods :(

It's not an issue
The feature is simply not yet implemented. You should ask for that specifically (i already did).

Also for the new shuttle. I have build my colony around that thing (you SHOULD too), and it's no big deal, but hauling x250 Tainted clothes would be much faster with PUaH... just saying...
