Sid Meier's Civilization V

Sid Meier's Civilization V

Mods not showing up after subcribing? Here was my situation.
Alright, so recently I was looking around for mods and stumbled across this one. I liked it, so I grabbed it and loaded up civ 5. I go into my mods and find its not there. I look in my documents for it and it hasn't even made a folder for it in the mods folder. No files, nothing about this mod in there. Tried unsubbing and resubbing but nothing. Tried restarting steam, etc etc, but no avail.

In case some of you were mislead, when I say "I go into my mods and find its not there", I mean, I can't even find the mod in-game to activate it. I first dismissed this as some sort of screw up, and went ahead and clicked next, waited 10 minutes for my mods to load up, and started to set up a game. Nothing looked different. This is when I realized I should check it out.

I checked out CivFanatics, viewed the post on the mod checklist, and nothing there seemed to deal with what I was going through. But!

One of the checks says to delete the cashe folder and ModUserData folder in your Civ 5 folder, contained in your /Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/ ect ect. (Windows 7.) These can sometimes cause strange things to happen to the game where certain mods wont show up after you subscribe to them. If you dont clear it out every once in a while, this can happen. Everything should work fine after you delete those two folders. Dont worry about the stuff in them, it wont crash or break your game if it can't find them.

Good luck, hope this helps! It helped me.

Go to Documents-> My Games-> Sid Meier's Civilization V-> MODS. all your other mods should appear as folders with the files within them, except this mod, which just has it's files without its own subfolder. Create a subfolder, title it, then put the files for this mod in it. restart civ 5, and it shoud be there.
