You aren't the only one, I seem to have the same issue. I even tried two types of baits and everything to see if it was the bait or how much of the bait. I tried not getting in combat with it I tried making sure it wasn't in combat. Nothing seemed to work. Used well over 80 baits and still can't hand feed it and don't see a progress bar.

As a slight update. I made the soup and started the normal tame process, then tossed a bait to start the immersive tame process. It seems to at least be keeping the progress bar. It's not ideal but it's a work around for my server at the moment...? Not sure if the mod is trying to conflict with the normal taming method or something. I'll have to do more testing. The server I'm running is a super small server with I think 10 mods? Immersive being the only tame/dino mod we have on it. The rest are just QoL and an admin tool.

Thanks for sciencing that, we had wondered if that was a work around for the amargasaurus. Has anyone found an immersive way to tame the sina? Since they eat chitin I assume it's vanilla or nothing to tame them.

You can set the bait options for the Sina, on our server we gave it the spoiled Meat Bait, as it eats the same stuff as the Archaeopteryx, and a few kibble baits. And aye, thank you for the updates on the Amar!

I had my own weird attempt with taming them. At first I had them set to combat tame as I wasn't aware of the issues mentioned here, and I found that whenever they changed their spike types, it would reset the combat encounter and I'd have to use another trophy bait and begin all over again. I then changed it to normal immersive taming, and no matter what I did, the thing was locked onto me like an alpha tribe on a thatch base. The soup didn't seem to do much either. I could use it initially but once the immersive taming began and the soup wore off, I couldn't resync my temp as it just wanted me to pet it. I did some science with godmode and found that the only way to tame it was to use something like an argy or a snow owl and land on the ground, drop some bait, then fly up a bit out of its reach. However, even at 25% and beyond, it still wanted to smash my giblets into a fine paste. The rex I tamed prior was perfectly fine with me hitching a ride on its foot at that point, but this spike-boi demanded my death at all costs, even if I went across the map and came back. I had no sino out, no other dinos nearby, and it still tried to kill me constantly as I stood in godmode at its feet and hand-fed it. It may have been borked because of the initial combat tame attempt, so I think until something can be done to fix it, I may turn up the taming for amargas. That way it won't take hours of the bird-tame method just to get one tamed.
