Bug reports
If you find any issues/bugs, please report them here. Try to add as much relevant details as possible. Also don't forget to add a hugslib log. Press ctrl+f12 or the green "share log" button to get a shareable link, and post the link in your report.

Reports without any log are mostly useless

Giddy-Up seems to be conflicting with Vanilla Animal Overhaul.

Made sure to clear my mod list to make sure it wasn't anything else first. Checked that both with Giddy-Up core loading w/out VAO loaded had no errors, And that VAO loading w/out Giddy-Up Core loaded had no errors. So there is difinatelya conflict between them.

Here is the info i have.

Nevermind, Didn't think to try loading Giddy-up after VAO, but that solved it.
Omega13 Jan 29, 2018 @ 6:21am
When I used a psychic insanity lance against a mounted raider, he simply dismounted. Neither rider nor mount were driven berserk.
roolo  [developer] Jan 29, 2018 @ 6:41am
Thanks for reporting. I'll make sure to add a fix to the next upcoming update. May take some time because the update is a pretty big one.
Omega13 Jan 29, 2018 @ 8:36am
Nice, really enjoying the mod so far. Impressed that it's so simple to use but adds so much without being overpowered.
roolo  [developer] Mar 1, 2018 @ 6:22am
@Omega13. I just checked the psychic insanity lance issue, but it seemed to work to some extent at least. The mount beserked, but the raider did not. It would maybe make a bit more sense if the raider went beserk and not the mount, but that's probably not very easy to fix, so something I might look into later.

I'm not able to ride on Byakhee from Call of Cthulhu. It says they're too young even though they're about 300
roolo  [developer] Mar 17, 2018 @ 1:07am
@Top Enda, apperently eventhough it's 300 years old, it's still marked as not fully grown in Call of Chthulhu. Giddy-up has to have the restriction on juvenile animals, because for most animals riding juveniles doesn't make sense, moreover, allowing other life stages would greatly complicate the way the back position of the animal is detected. Maybe with the development tools you can somehow set the animal to be fully grown?
Void Ghost Mar 20, 2018 @ 5:16pm
i dont know if my game is corrupted or not, but i disabled all mods except for giddy up core giddy up battle mounts and giddy up ride and roll...

and i get this errors. no pawns get drawn and i get this repeating errors. the log is big but you dont need to read all of it, it is very repetitive

the log below was generated after i dont know 5 seconds of game time, maybe less. but i cut most of it because there is no point its repetitive.

if anyone can make out whats happening here it would be greatly appreciated.

@Void Ghost, thanks for reporting this. This is something that's reported earlier and I'm still trying to fix it. In my case I could reproduce it by removing HaulToStack from an existing save with Giddy-up! in it, after loading the save, the error started popping up. After I re-added the other mod again, the error was gone. However, I'm very sure Giddy-up is the cause of the error. It seems Giddy-up Core didn't load properly after the removal of the other mod. I also tried saving the erronous game, and after saving, re-adding the other mod didn't fix it anymore. I haven't seen the "suspicious error" you posted yet, so that could help me understand what's going on.

By the way, could you also send me the full log, it may contain some valuable information about the harmony patches being used, and about your mod load order. You can simply press ctrl+f12 when in game, and post the link that pops up here.

Void Ghost Mar 21, 2018 @ 7:34am
thanks roolo, regarding the suspicious error i was talking about, i guess its a hugslib error, when it says: [HugsLib][ERR] Duplicate mod identifier: GiddyUpCore

i thought that was suspicious because it singled out giddy-up, but if that is not relevant i got nothing, just the errors ingame.

Anyway i got the full log for when the the game loads with only hugslib and giddyup stuff loaded in the modlist its this link here:

{LINK REMOVED}

--------------------------------------------------
from the starting screen if i try to start a new scenario i will get all those errors with pawns and stuff, here i have the default settings game with 5% globe coverage for faster loading, this is how the full log looks like if i share it within 5 seconds before even pressing ok for the message that pops in the screen when starting the crash landed scenario:

{LINK REMOVED}

so pretty much those repetitive errors again.

I hope this is useful, thanks a lot for taking your time to share your mods with the community and helping me with this
roolo  [developer] Mar 21, 2018 @ 8:12am
@Void Ghost.
Hmm, what surprises me is the following:

Log uploaded on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 11:22:51 AM
Loaded mods:
Core: (no assemblies)
HugsLib[4.1.1]: 0Harmony(1.0.9.1), HugsLib(0.18.0.0)
Giddy-up! Core: GiddyUpCore(0.18.7.0)
Giddy-up! Ride and Roll: GiddyUpRideAndRoll(0.18.0.0)
Giddy-up! Battle Mounts: Battlemounts(0.18.5.0), GiddyUpCore(1.0.0.0)

Apperently, your copy of Battle Mounts includes Giddy-up! Core, while it really shouldn't.
You could try to remove Battle Mounts, and install it again. You may have to manually remove the mod folder, and then subscribe again. You can find it somewhere in Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content, and using search will help you find the folder.

Hah! you nailed it, that was the problem all along. I found the folder and it did have the giddyupcore dll there too, so i unsubscribed from the mod and poof all the files related to battlemounts where gone but all the files from giddyupcore remained.

so i deleted the folder from battlemounts and subscribed again, i checked and i only have battlemounts files now. restarted the game and 0 errors. loaded a new scenario and 0 errors.

I'm not sure how this happened i have subscribed to giddyup immediatly after i bought the game, but i didnt play for quite some time and steam must have mixed up maybe it was an older version or something.

regardless it is 100% now. i pressed ctrl+f12 to get the log and im linking it below if you are curious, but it didnt even display error messages and all pawns are working

{LINK REMOVED}

thanks a lot! =)
roolo  [developer] Mar 21, 2018 @ 9:12am
Cool! I'm glad it works!

Edit: By the way, when I first released BattleMounts, the Giddy-up Core dll was included unintentionally at some point. It's long removed since then, but apperently Steam didn't synchronize the removal in your case, so that explains it a bit.
