Golemancer?
hey if anyone knows, are there certain instructions somewhere for the golemancer? the first two abilities, golemancy and rune carving are missing buttons (or dont tell you how to use them) and i dont know if its a bug caused by other mods or if someone else is experiencing the same.

But the description tells you what they are doing. They are not active abilities.

Golemancy provides passive buffs for active golems assigned to the golemancer, and also buffs for the golemancer themselves. Rune carving is performed much like a surgery, and the operation will only be visible if you have the materials required (I think it was medicine, unrefined magicyte, and mana potions).

yes, those were the instructions for rune carving. i did that, had all the skills needed checked and enabled, put all 3 of those in their own stockpile. now what? and as for golemancy there is nothing on how to make a golem. at all. anywhere. ill try testing it without all other mods to see if it works but if you know how it works please let me know.

Rune Carving is a surgical operation. You go to the pawn's Health tab, to Operations, and select one of the Rune Engraving operations. If the golemancer has sufficient mana (I think 50 was the default requirement, might be more), access to the materials, and medical work prioritized, they should carry out the operation. Note that the chance of success is affected by their rune carving skill (you can check that in their info screen, in the Work section; it's affected by Crafting and Artistic skill, along with manipulation and sight), as well as their points spent in Deep Mark (which reduces the odds success and improves the results of success) and Steady Hands (which improves the odds off success).

To create a golem, you need to research either or both of Flesh Golem and Mecha Golem. Flesh golems are crafted at the butcher table, and mecha golems are crafted at a machining table. That produces a golem in a minified building state, which you can place somewhere on the map for it to start charging. When it's finished charging, it will begin helping out around the colony. Note that you don't actually need a golemancer to create golems.

For the Golemancy skills, Frame Upgrade and Controller are automatically applied to any golem that has the golemancer selected as their master (you do this in the golem's Golem tab). The buffs will show up as 'Golem augmentation' and 'Mind-link' in the golem's Health tab. The Mind Upgrade skill will apply a 'Golem bond' buff in the golemancer's Health tab.

I just came to ask the same question. I haven't played in a bit, and I was worried that I was having a bad mod interaction.

Hey, where would one make the new hollow golem, added in the latest update?

Hey, I know this is not the main piece to this discussion. Though I found a possible glitch I wanted to see if anyone else was coming across with this class. I used a brand and then after a while I used the dispelled brands and the pawn just froze in place and wouldn't even continue the actions I had queued and even canceling the actions does nothing, The pawn just acts like it's paused when the game isn't and even having actions done to the pawn that do damage still impact and do damage. I hope that I can help figure out what is causing this to happen.

hmm havent seen that one yet, but try posting on the main workshop page, i had to, to get an answer about the golems smashing doors for no reason.
