Pawns not finishing magic circle rituals

So i tried to do a Psychic Soothe on a magic circle, my mage pawns go to it and start working on casting the spell, but half way thru the cast the spell just get suspended and they just go away without finishing the ritual.

I've not tried the magic circles yet, but maybe it just requires mana like the arcane forge, and your pawns ran out of mana?
