Class Suggestion-Transmutor
There are many "schools", or catagories, of magic, but not all are shown within this mod. For those who do not know what each of the schools are, they are as follows:


Abjuration (Sheilding others or banishing creatures that do no belong on this plane),
Conjuration (The use of portals to either summon beings or objects to assist the caster or for transportation)
Divination (Using magic to see other places, including into the past and future)
Evocation (Using magical energy to create destruction masses of energy that directly deal with the wizard's foes),
Enchanting (The spells that augment the ability to converse... Better known as "Diplomancy". Typically, we call these spellcasters "Bards")
Illusion (Making sounds and images that are not real to befuddle or terrorize beings)
Transmutation (The manipulation, transformation or augmentation of energy and matter)
Necromancy (The manipulation of necrotic energy to either siphon the life from others or raise the dead)


We have all the schools used in some spell, but we have yet to have a class or 2 dedicated to each school. We have
4 Evocation classes (Fire mage, Ice mage, Lightning mage, Geomancer)
2 Conjuration classes (Summoner, Arcane Mage)
999 too many Enchanting classes (Bard, bladesinger, ect.)
3 Necromancy classes (Necromancer, Lich, Blood Mage)


Etc, etc, you get the point, there isnt a transmutator class.

By the time this game eventually dies, we need to have at least one class dedicated to a school. I'm starting this goal by tackling one of the schools: Transmutation.

Any character with the Transmutor class perk gains the following benifits:

+2 to Melee and Crafting
+4 to Art
+5 Carrying capacity
+20% Movement speed
+50% Immunity build-up rate
+20% Mana regeneration speed

They also get the following debuffs:

-15% force
-4 Mood Penalty (Named: "Perfectionist". Description: I don't like to see the imperfections in everything while I have the ability to change it!!!)
-10% Socail Impact (Because of Perfectionist)



This is whats the spells of the Transmutor class could look like:


---Modify Self (Base: 25 Mana) (Cast time: 2.5 sec) (Cooldown: 90 sec)
The caster grows extra arms, giving a +20% manipulation bonus.

Upgrades:
Efficeint Growth
Decrease the cost by 10% per level

Durable Arms
Increase the duration of Modify Self by 30 sec per level (Base: 90)

More Arms
Increase the bonus to manipulation by 15% per level



---Change Structure (Base: 10 Mana) (Cast time: 0.5 sec) (Cooldown: None)
The caster touches a surface and changes the molecular structure to become a diffrent materail.
The modified surfaces (walls, floors) do not grant materails upon deconstruction or destruction.
The spell only effects one tile at a time.

Upgrades:
Efficent re-molecularization:
Decrease the cost of the spell by 10% per level



---Transmuter's Stone (Base: 70 mana) (Cast time: 30 sec) (Cooldown: 1800 sec)
The caster touches a stone chunk and imbues it with magical energy. The chunk becomes a small round stone at the end of the proccess. The effect depends on the chunk:

Marble: Gives the holder a 15% socail impact bonus
Slate: Increases shooting accuracy of the holder by 20%
Limestone: The holder can see in the dark, all penalties caused by darkness are removed
Granite: Increases the max HP value of the holder (ie: it takes more to down or kill the holder)
Sandstone: Increases movement speed of the holder by 30%

A transmuter can only have one stone exist at a time, and a person can only benifit from one stone at a time.

---Repair (Base: 30)(Cast Time: 0.5 sec)(Cooldown: 5 sec)
The target weapon, armor, structure or materail is repaired by 30% as the caster re-organises the atoms back to where they should be.

Upgrades:
Mass Repair (Requires 5)
Instead of a single target in range, the spell now affects all targets in a 5 cell range centered on a target cell within 50 cells.

Efficient Repair:
Decreases mana cost by 10% per level.

Stronger Repair:
Increases the amount repaired by 10% per level.




---Beautify (Base: 70)(Cast Time: 5 sec)(Cooldown: 1800 seconds)
The caster touches an art peice within range, re-arringing certain parts of the peice to make it easier on the eye.

This increases the beauty rating of the object by (Y/X)-Z.
X is the rating of the object (Awful, Poor, Normal, Good, Exellent, Masterwork, Legendary). Awful is 1/9, Poor is 1/3, Normal is 1, Good is 3, Exellent is 9, Masterwork is 27, and Legendary is 81.
Y is the beauty rating of the object
Z is the number of times this spell has been casted on the object.

However, the minimum result will be 5. Thus, even good and above quality items can still have an improvement.

Upgrades: N/A




The following spells are transmutation-based spells on scrolls and they can be learned by other classes.


---Clean (Base: 10)(Cast Time: None)(Cooldown: 3 sec)
It's in the name. A wizard casts this spell, and suddenly a circle (3-5 cell raduis, havent deceided yet) within 30 cells is cleaned of dirt, blood, rocks, filth, bullet casings, etc etc. Usfull when you have to get your colonist's mood up slightly in a pinch.





---Weaken Buildings (Base: 30)(Cast Time: 3 sec)(Cooldown: 60 sec)
The wizard changes the molecular structure of the building slightly, weakening its overall durability by 30%






---------------The following spells are vaible options for the "Mastery" spell of this class.--------------

---Polymorph Self (Base: 80)(Cast Time: 2.5 sec)(Cooldown: 70 sec)(Duration: 40 seconds)
The caster polymorphs themselves into an animal* of their choice, then goes manhunter for a bit. Use with caution.

Upgrades:
Enchancing Form:
Increase the movement speed, attack damage, attack speed, and health by 10% per level

Beat the Rage: (3 upgrade points)
Removes the manhunter effect, thus allowing you to controll the character while they are polymorphed

Flexibility: (4 upgrade points)
Enemies will run (30% chance) in terror (5 seconds) upon seeing the animal. This effect retriggers if and when the enemy is hit by the character.

---Polymorph (Base: 50 mana) (Cast time: 3.0) (Cooldown: 60 sec) (Duration: 30 sec)
The unfortunent target HUMAN turns (50% chance) into a harmless (rabit, cat, chin-chilla (I say chin-chilla so that steam wont censor it with <3's), or squirrel (25% for each)) and runs away in fear.

Upgrades:
Tame the Poor Soul! (5 upgrade points)
Adds a 20% chance to tame the animal upon it being polymorphed. If the target is tamed when being polymorphed, the polymorph effect lasts forever and fully heals the animal (ie: so any drug addictions it had or scar injuries it had are gone).

What a Cute Mechinoid! (3 upgrade points)
The effect can now target mechinoids.

Polybomb
The polymorph effect now applies to all targets in a small raduis when the origional effect ends. A target can only be effected by polymorph once per cast.

Edit 1: Changing some % to make it more balanced, adding "Etc, etc, you get the point, there isnt a transmutator class."
Edit 2: Grammer fixes, adding "Mastery" right before scroll to clarify things
Edit 3: Adding the "Polymorph Self" spell from my comment and deleting that comment. Added "Repair" , "Beautify", "Clean", and "Weaken Buildings" spells. Made a few more spells require scrolls. Removed "Mastery" before the word "scroll" on the last spell, as now there are more abilities that could each fit that spot. Reworked starting sentance.
Edit 4: Rephrasing some school descriptions at the top, added passive buffs and debuffs.

Well thought out class and pretty much everything looks doable and has a nice niche not really filled by any other class.

It could probably use another ability or two though, if anyone has any idea's for what else would fit in the class.
