How do you create a revenant?
When hovering over the ghouls vitae/blood supply in there needs, it provides some information about ghouls and vitae itself. It also mentions something called a revenant, which is a special type of ghoul that produces its own vitae once in a while. I was curious if this is actually in the game, and if so, how to actually create/find a revenant, or if it is a planned feature and not currently implemented.

A revenant in Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, I believe said it was a time variable. Something like 10-100 years.

Woah, I hope it doesn't take nearly that long in this mod lol.
Paladin Val Feb 5, 2018 @ 12:32pm
Right I don't think I have made it longer then 3 years without something happening or getting bored
Starlord Feb 6, 2018 @ 12:28pm
Assuming it's already implemented in the game you could probably use debug mode to "fast forward" when it comes to years.

that having been said I don't think it's been implemented yet.

I asked the same question a while back and someone speculated it might be the last stage of a blood bond.

Revenant just means something that was once dead coming back. So, assuming the mod author used real life logic with it, a revenant can only be attained through the Ghoul in question possibly getting killed then coming back. Maybe as some sort of a ritual?. With all the different mods this guy has going at the time, i would not be shocked to learn that Revenants' don't actually exist within the game yet. He has a Discord though, you might be able to get the answers from him on there. Posting on the steam forums wont get you anywhere because he never reads nor responds to them. Many big rimworld modders don't actually use steam outside of launching the game, There are many great mods on the ludeon forums that will never get a steam release because the authors don't like steam.

Revenants exist in the VTM universe, they're basically ghouls that can produce their own vampire blood. You usually can create them through inbreeding ghouls. (Just for clarification)

In the mod or in the Masquerade lore?

Unfortunately pregnancy isn't a feature for regular pawns yet (not even in mods, as far as I know) so i'm only talking about Masquerade lore.

I do know there is a mod, though it might be outdated, that introduces pregnancy and stuff. I also used dev mode to make a pawn give birth once, other than that though, I think you're right. I don't know much about Masquerade lore, but I thought having a Revenant would be awesome.

I totally agree, it would be awesome. (though in the lore they're very rare.)

I've still got my fingers crossed pregnancy will make it into the game, be it through mods or through a fleshed out feature. So far, I know that the humanoid aliens mod has an extension that allows for pregnancy in associated mods. The "give birth" dev command is cool, but unfortunately it's pretty much superficial. It creates a pawn with the title of son or daughter but the physical appearence isn't always super similar and as far as I know most traits don't pass down (I could easily be wrong on that)

I know fair bit about Masquerade lore, spent a lot of time reading up on it. Revenants were pretty sweet, they were pretty close to vampires themselves except for the fact they were somewhat weaker than vampires. But creating revenant families were really expensive and time consuming, not to mention it may require incest to pass down the trait, which in the end may actually become a big deficit for the revenant because of mental disabilities and such. Then you add onto it that the revenants were nearly as powerful as vampires and the dangers of raising them are compounded.

There's already a beta-level reproduction mod, you can only get through the games website though. I can't assure you it's still being worked on, nor can i assure you that the people that frequent the site will help you wint any issues or answer in question pertaining to the mod (Lots of players don't see a need for a pawn reproduction mod. Most colonies rarely make it past 10 years and, as of yet, there is no easy way to progress time without actively using your pawns.)

Anyways, there is a mod for that and the last time i checked you can run it with the current game build.

That sounds awesome. Thanks for telling me about it, i'll have to look that up.

Quick-Update:
The pawn reproduction mod i was talking about is called Children and pregnancy, it's only on the ludeon studio forums though.

Also, please don't beg those mod authors to port their mods over here. If their mods aren't over here already, they likely never will be. for some personal reason the author doesn't want to deal with steam, best not to make them angry and remove the mod entirely.

Woah there, you'll hear no begging from me. I'm just happy there's a mod at all, it shows there's the potential for more mods like it in the future if nothing else.
