I know this might be a hell of a pain to add, but It would be a nice addition if you could set up an alien base in *almost* every nation in the world, or mostly just South and North America.

The US will intervene either way, just played a game where this happened. Maybe I have misunderstood what you were trying to say.

If the US already went down the Monroe Doctrine tree, and finished Pax Americana, then yes, they will.

But if the Liberated Zone has a guarantee from them then It won't, because it counts as a South American nation.
