Noob Question : What should I expect going into Mortal Empires with SFO?
Ok. So I admit - there may be a RTFM element here - I know next to nothing about SFO so please go gentle. I mostly saw this mod watching a bunch of the YouTube videos from MilkandCookiesTW and liked the look / sound of the difference in stats, battle mechanics and unit rosters.

I'm a TW:W2 veteran (I'm knocking on the door of 2000 hours gameplay) - having played pretty much every race and faction at least once and I tend to go through Mortal Empires campaigns the most.

However - I'm aware of lots of vanilla updates to the races I have been playing recently (Dwarves / Empire / Beastmen).

So here come the questions.

1) Does SFO change the actual ME campaign mechanics? How does this fit with the recent faction campaign updates:

* Empire Elector-Counts
* Orc Loot / Waaargh mechanics
* Recently released Beastmen Herdstone etc
* Recently released Dwarf Forge / Runic magic updates

2) Is SFO mostly geared around scenario and custom battles - or is it totally appropriate to use this for the long-term ME campaigns (or does it completely break the balancing to pieces?)

...

I'm a little nervous about the AI being utterly stupid in terms of:

* Campaign AI enemies not using the new units properly (either in combat, or in army builds)
* Auto-Resolve having no fecking clue how powerful the new units are
* The Campaign AI ending up with crazily OP units and paint the map leaving certain factions with no chance at all

Yeh .. ok ... so I went to the SFO Discord server after I noticed that it existed.
Got a tonne of very helpful and useful replies.

TL;DR; summary:

* It's bigger
* It's better
* There are a LOT of changes

Doom stack = win
Well balanced army = lose

A nicely balanced army works fine

So.. do they implement all the new changes and additions from the updates?

Eventually .. although it takes several weeks (depending on the size of the update) to integrate all of the changes, adjust the balancing / stats for any of the new units
