is it just me with this mod...but the dark elves take the entire map 100% of the time? like litterally a wave of purple over the entire map within 100 turns

I don't know if is a bug, but it feels like the black ark corsairs are way overtuned for their unit tier.

It seems I can't recruit Gyrocopter, Hammerers and Ironbrakers as Dwarfs even if I have respectively the Engineer Workshop and Gromril Forge. Am I missing something?

Oh, that's the game that Raphael Perry, a YouTuber, was playing for a series of episodes recently. Very unique and interesting playing game. That explains it somewhat, Venris.

Think Arkhan the black (Nagash) has a few bugs. The research stance adds turns rather than decrease and I unlocked a liche priest via tech (using canopic jars) and didnt work. Lybaras and Nehek seem ok...

@ Anton, in addition there are some well known race packs and other mods that are known to work with SFO, and sometimes that may require a special version of that Mod that works with SFO, as often that other mod has an author that wants his mod to work on SFO. Anyway, worst case, often Venris will come over and check even still this thread, often within a few days. Nonetheless, you can read the manual that comes with the SFO mod, or check the main website for it, and find it there.

@ Anton, you'd have to get more specific. But, from what I remember, SFO is meant to be, at first, installed upon an UN-MODDED game to start. Then there are some mods that are compatible you can add after SFO, and there are references for that.

From what I thought your post said, you have already an Overhaul installed, and most Overhauls will tend to be incompatible with SFO. But I am sure someone with more direct knowledge will reply, but you have to be more specific as to what the current mods are, etc.

I'm not sure the sfo mod change my ingame overhaul. Is there any key featura to check for it has been activated for campaign. Right now it looks life vanilla one

I stopped using Grimhammer because I think it made the AI overall dumber and more predictable. I've used it for years but not for my current Bretonnia Very Hard run.

Were any changes made to how damage interacts with phys resistance? 55% phys resistance ethereal units seem to be being immediately dumpstered by basic high elven archers

Vampires are too strong in this mod. Each playthrough they annihilate the Empire and capture Altdorf on turn 40. The game turns into zombie survival

You've created a very high-quality mod, thank you for your hard work.

However, there's a specific feature I would like to remove while playing this mod. The characters seem to apply global debuff effects, such as reducing income from various sources and increasing upkeep costs. These effects appear to increase with each level-up of the characters (at least that's my understanding, though I might be mistaken).

I would like to completely disable this feature. To do this, what should I modify in the .pack file of the mod? Would it be sufficient to zero out the 'wh_skill_character_upkeep' effects in the 'character_skill_level_to_effects_junctions_tables' column under the 'SFO_skill' section?

What I'm aiming for is to remove the hidden global negative effects from the skill named 'MAINTENANCE' that the characters cause as they level up, and to disable this feature entirely.

Unit caps system dilemma event is not showing up on first turn of the campaign (both vortex and mortal empires campaign). Everything works except for the dilemma event not showing. I tested it with only this mod subscribed and activated in KMM (I also purged all the non sfo mods in the data and workshop folder and verify integrity of game files before testing). Is this only a problem on my side?

In addition, much of that speaks volumes about what Venris and his team were able to accomplish with SFO Grimhammer 2, and without all design specs nor allocated monetary funding to boot. Then, to see TWWH 3 initially release without half the stuff either in TWWH 2 and for a long time almost no substitute for the added features or factions already in SFO Grimhammer 2 ... well, it astounds as well as further eases the decision to stick with this, until TWWH 3 gets less expensive and enjoy all in this, before you buy an incomplete TWWH 3 Collection with any doubts in its implementation.

Boshty, no worries, I and a lot of other people feel the same way about TWWH 2 vs 3. All sorts of reasons have been noted in past -- graphical style, completeness, number of factions, price, overall end-game, various game-modes differ, more Fantasy Style Factions vs Demonic, etc. So, at least there is an overall subjective different in what players might prefer. Then consider lower cost of older series, Mods like SFO 2, which already added in many of the 3 Factions and Features for free and further improved on 2's remaining weaknesses, SFO 2's Improved GUI that makes more features within TWWH2 Transparent/Better Explained/Improved Player QoL, without requiring additional real money, etc.

There's a case to be made for TWWH 2 over 3 (and vice-versa depending on players' interests), but TWWH 2 with SFO 2, really either closes the gap even more, OR makes SFO 2 with TWWH 2 the superior choice.

Forgot how much more I like TW2 than TW3 since coming back to try it out. I dunno what it is about 3, but i just hate it compared to 2. Thanks for ftill caring about the SFO for 2. looking forward to getting back into the good old games :)

SFO. It's the only way to Warhammer Total War. It's also great in WH3 but of course CA is still updating and breaking everyone's mods. It's part of the process unfortunately. At least with WH2 we can play forever now without CA updates breaking mods.

Not sure if out of date or bug, but Phoenix guard @ of units are at 45 when the SFO list of changes said it increased it to 100. Likewise, the ROR for Phoenix guard is still 23 even though the notes said they increased it to 100. I have no other mods running and uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well as verifying the integrity of my files through steam.

Could it be that there is a balancing problem? In my opinion the "evil" factions are too strong, just I have a campaign with Durthu and already in round 43 the whole empire is history (wiped out by Festus and Vlad, there are other chaos forces at work but don't see this because of the fog of war)
All dwarves are history, except for one settlement and Ulthuan has once again been overrun by Morathi.
This would be the third campaign that would be like that, before that it didn't bother me so much because I played the chaos myself.

Skaven factions seem to bugged for me on this. Economy buildings give same income even at increasing tiers. So 50 at tier1,2,3 for Rubbish pit for example. Is this normal?
