It's either lack of ship crews, or framework crash
load earlier save
So timing planetary invasions to have a buffer before the Week ends (atleast one progress bar thing) or waiting until the next one starts helped me, though for precaution I would recommend saving before battles so you wont lose much progress should this occour.
After taking 5 or 6 worlds, the Politics, Space Station, Small Ship and Large Ship tabs come up completely blank, even after reloading a save prior to the issue occurring.
The last one wasn't even a full invasion, it was the space battle before the ground war. Finished the space battle, and had no space-based construction ability.
That sounds reasonable and a great observation, I avoid saving close to cycle start/end to avoid corrupted saves which is maybe why I never ever got a framework crash either. Remember, the game does alot of scripted stuff e.g. finance calculations close to end/start of cycle and interrupting that in theory would lead to bad things.
Remember in the old days when saving took 10 minutes ? But we also never had these issues - the scripts always had time to finish back then.
Well that is my suspicion at least.
