Early in the campaign (week 9-10 i think) the game started to hard freeze (with the music still playing) in the galactic map. I loaded a little beforehand, and managed to play a little bit further (i think up until week 11), but now, every time i try to load that save it loads directly into the hard freeze with music in the back.
If i have to make a guess, i would say that there is some king of script failure in the event system for era 1, that triggers around the end of week 9-10-11, perhaps related to certain warlords or characters being killed?
I'll try different campaigns and eras to see if the problem persists in them.
I tend to erase and re-save with the same name to avoid save file corruption, and this morning i started a new campaign and replaced the old saves with the new ones (NR1...NR5) I'm sorry, i didn't think that the file was important at the time.
Right now i'm playing as the New Republic and i have started in era 2 (art of war). I'm in week 10 with no crashes so far, but if it does crash i'll post the file.
1.) Start Art of War as Empire, era 1
2.) Consolidate all Imperial fleets on one planet - Kuat/Coruscant, typically
3.) Manually advance to Isard's era
4.) Combine megafleet + heroes together
5.) At some point a small text box in the bottom left corner should show up that just says "MISSING" and then disappears
6.) Next time you move your fleet, the freeze happens!
Happened to me twice in a row now - only difference to these steps is I rampaged around the Eriadu Authority for a bit and killed Delvardus the second time round before advancing eras.
