Boarding Shuttle Captured Ships Disappear
I saw someone post about this in the comments but no one replied, so I wished to open this to mention it. I have seen that there is a common issue with boarding shuttles on the last ship in a battle and sometimes making like-vessels already in the fleet disappear, so I went in just with boarding shuttles and caught myself an ISD-II right at the beginning of a battle... Da Soocha, I think, from the Greater Maldrood as NR. Never called in any other ISD's in my fleet, finished the battle successfully; at the end, I got the message on the galactic view in the upper left that my captured ship went to [MISSING] for refit and several weeks later has yet to reappear. Did I do something wrong? I'm happy I didn't lose anything, but I'm a bit bummed I didn't gain anything either.

I don't know about it but I will say that Boarding Ship's are a Waste of $

The going to [MISSING] thing means they were sent to the overflow planets, which will hopefully not need to be in the mod anymore in the next version.

The issue where ships spawned with LUA makes other ships of the same class disappear seems to be an engine bug, which unfortunately would mean we can do nothing about it.

So, is there like a chance of this happening, or is it an always thing? Should I ever bother trying to capture ISD's again? Cuz I really liked that mechanic. Would love to try grabbing myself an SSD!!

@ Illegal Shrood - i am glad i am not the only 1 who has this problem , when i first tested them out i capurted a ship just fine since then i am unable to capture any ship no matter what i do its really frustrating

*UPDATE* I'm now playing not thru any of the story modes, but on Infinities as NR. Did successfully capture ... I think an ISD and a Syndic from bordering planets early on. With no 'overflow planets' on those galactic maps, it does work as intended and as such has been fun for me to use.
Does either side retreat after capturing the ship? If you or the Empire retreats you lose the captured ship

In the event in my initial post, it ended in victory, not retreat. I am aware of that issue.

Weird. Every ship I capture goes to a different planet and I have yet to experience this

An actual planet which is yours and you can utilize the ship afterward? Probably not playing the story conquests that have [MISSING] planets, like Corey was talking about.

Though, @Corey, I have nooticed that even in Intinities where I have been able to capture ships, I cannot capture multiples of the same ship. I've had the opportunity to capture multiple Syndic Destroyers in the New Republic Infinities conquest I'm in the middle of, but after the battle it simply moves the one Syndic I first caught to the outfitting planet rather than gives me more of them. Successful, non-retreat battles with the confirmation notification in the upper left each time, but just moves the ship in my fleet instead of duplicates / replicates / creates a new one.
I have yet to experience this issue. When I capture a ship and the battle is over it always tells me where my ship is and I find it. (eventually cause I know nothing of the EU stuff and where to find planets)

O havent had any issues at all with the mechanic its just that you should not be retreating when succesfully having captured ships and you should not let youre enemy retreat the overflow plants are there so that thos captured ships cannot be used because if you kill the engine of a ship and then capture it and retreeat you are going to looose the ship.
in my NR Playthrough iv eactually made my own fleet out of stolen vessels. Im very proud of my 3 Allegiances and the original Torpedos Sphere that spwns at Kampe. The fleet as a "Value" of around 115
