Hello. I like to play games the way I like so usually that involves modding. I'm good at modding a number of games, and games like this are rather straightforward. However a few things have stumped me. First, how do I change how many hardpoints a ship has/what the hardpoint is. Also, how to give hardpoints more health. I increased the health and shields of the Sovereign and Eclipse beyond the Executor (both are far newer and more massive, stands to reason both would be better, especially shields since both ships could ram through others without the shields breaking), however the increased health counted for naught when the modules took the same damage as before and the health dropped dramatically with each destroyed module. Can I either remove the modules, or change their health to reflect the health increase I gave to the ship.

Another question, what is the best type of turbolaser. Turbolaser battery? What about Heavy Turbolaser Battery? Just curious. How would I go and change that around? Or maybe if I wanted to make my own custom version of the Eclipse or Sovereign with different hardpoints/weapons, how could I do this?

Some things here are probably easier than others.

So, here goes.

1. Add the ability to build the Eclipse as a ship, not as palpatine. Available in Era 3-5

2. Change health for hardpoints, or remove altogether if that is too complicated.

3. Change/add hardpoints to existing ships and change their weapon compositions.

4. Create custom unique versions of ships that I can then make appear in game as seperate.

Hardpoints are recorded in one of several Hardpoints xmls, and are linked to the appropriate unit via the <Hardpoints> field in the unit code.
