Not sure if it is known but the Right Side LCD only shows part of the screen it cuts off about 2/3s of the LCD

Looks like after some of the recent SE updates, this now crashes (at least it my save).

I went through deleting mods until it stopped crashing on load. Then I put them all back and added in the cockpit mod and it crashed on load again. This is my list of mods, plus the enhanced cockpit mod. I haven't played around with load order, so maybe there's an interaction with a glass mod somehow (I recall a comment saying you removed the interior glass, and this is crashing with a texture issue).

I'm still able to load the mod myself so I'm not sure what's causing that. If you can, could you send me your entire log file so I can check it out? I'll try to figure out what it could be.

The only thing I'd changed about the interior glass was removing the tint from it, but it's still there so it shouldn't cause a problem.

So I went to grab a new log file by adding the mod back in, and this time SE loaded at first (I had already saved the world without the mod, so the modded blocks were no longer in the world).

I pulled up the G menu and the Enhanced Cockpit group and all of the icons were missing even though the blocks were selectable (for instance, a plus symbol on an empty background). I thought "ah ha! maybe i just need to redownload the mod".

However, SE then crashed so hard that even Windows lost track of my graphics card (nvidia 970) until a reboot.

I'm going to try again, and have it redownload the mod, but ouch!

That's a really strange one. Let me know how you get on with a re-download of the mod.

I had added in some additional mods so there are some new ones in the list, but here's how the redownload worked.

The world has no Enhanced Cockpit blocks in it now (it had large ship blocks to cover up the horrible blue bar and use Automatic LCDs). After redownload, the G menu shows all the icons, and I could select one -- and as soon as I went to put a large block version down (preview while rotating), it crashed.

So maybe it's a large grid specific issue. I'm also going to run a verify on the SE directory, in case there's just something corrupt that this mod uses and nothing else does.

Steam won't let me past my log file here (hit an 18k character limit); is there some subset that you'd like or some other way I can get it to you?

Ok, that narrows it down. I'll check out the large blocks to see if I can reproduce it on my end.

You could try Pastebin, but I'm not sure if it'd handle it at that sort of size either.

Don't worry too much about the log, I was able to repro it on my end by dragging the large block versions to my hotbar... Not sure why it's happening, but at least I can cofirm it is. Will look into it, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Apparently it's a fault on Keen's end to do with the renderer, will pass on the log to them and hope they can fix it quickly.

@TauXV9 Sorry for delay, I thought I'd gotten back to you to ask for more details. Can you confirm which LCD it is and which cockpit interior you're using? I can't seem to replicate it, on my end none of the LCDs are clipping. :S

As of Sept 23 2017, the cockpit becomes invisible when your sitting inside of it. Screens appear to be visible.

Solution:

Did not realize certain modules have the actual interior cockpit once placed.

Haha, yeah that's a remnant from the original mod. HappySushi originally built it this way to allow DX9 and DX11 compatibility. I actually plan on an update to change this behaviour as it does always confuse people who haven't used the mod before, and DX9 is no longer supported. :)

Funny thing. The way this cockpit works actually manages to serve as a workaround for the latest issue with cockpit LCDs being hidden by the interior cockpit model script. It's like an, Anti-Bug. We are lucky to have you around Kham.
