Possible to add?
Hey there!
If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again: Thank you so very much for the work you are doing here!

Now I am not sure how much you can actually modifiy or if it is something you can fix, but playing the game for several hours now, I have stumbled upon two rather annoying things concerning colony ships, wondering if you can fix this:

1) Colony ships don't register as idle fleets once they reached a planet to colonize. I lost several turns not colonizing because of this.

2) The colonizing animations are great for first couple times, but once you've seen them all, it's just time consuming. Is there a way to include a toggle to deactivate them?

Not seeing the idle issue with colony ships. I got prompted everytime to move it after it reached its destination.

You can hit ESC or right-click (I think) to stop the animation.

I've got to agree with DracoDruid. Those animations take 10-15 seconds to cancel on my computer. I'd love to see all the cosmetic animations eliminated. Was dissapointed there wasn't an option to bypass them in the original game.

Add.0.0.5.8a: Added new game options menu -> Content -> "Show Colony Cutscene". Turning this off will skip the colony cutscene.

@WhatIsSol: Only the Balance mod and the additional ship models.

Don't know how to make/post video, but maybe I figure it out.

And thanks for the quick Cutscene fix!

Do I have to uninstall the mod before updating it, or can I just repeat the install process?

You just have to reinstall, but 5.8a is not out yet

Ships near planet, enemy planet, enemy can attack those ships...AND when they do they get to add all planetary defenses into the attack. In Moo2 this was not possible. If enemy was around your planet (but not close enough to engage starbase, et al) then the only way to get rid of them was to send a fleet. And that fleet had to fight without starbase, missile base etc.

Can this also be implemented?
