I need more time playing around as Greneclyf but, from what I can tell, you have a higher chance to avoid the suicide, if you marry Cenhelm before the crisis, then during the crisis he comes to your aid to try and convince you that everything is not as bad as it seem.
You are then given two options, to listen, or to not. Choose to listen to him.
After that it's a roll of the dice, but I believe your chances are higher if your marry Cenhelm and choose to listen to him.
I don't think there is a way to remove it. more testing is needed.
Was the save before the Riverlands update? That might cause problems.
The 'Find a Compromise' focus description seems to imply that Oiren will remain as country leader, and its alternative 'Remove the Queen' would put Sclerite in charge, however both paths leave Sclerite as leader.
This also leads to the following focus 'Unionisation' description reading "Long discussions between Cader Sclerite and Sclerite have yielded..." once the shift to the communist party has been completed in the previous focus.
There should be a flag to set Queen Oiren as leader of the communist party in the 'Find a Compromise' focus.
I know it doesn't actually do anything other than minor aesthetics, but i value my aesthetics.
I also had an issue with the Firtree Villages in which the Necromancy/Bandit Queen focus tree appeared and was usable before I'd completed the 'Pilgrimage to Magehold' focus, but I did not notice exactly when the option appeared so i don't really have much to offer on that other than it happened in my game.
