Changes not working on load
Did a little digging and didn't see anyone else with this issue.
I have had to fix a number of issues in my game where recipes are just free to craft(one is due to a conflict between Character Edit and Rimmsqol which causes recipes from VE to become free).
I do not mind the free crafts as a little recipe editing corrects the problem.
What i have found however is that after editing the recipe, saving and restarting the game, the edits will stay but the effects will not. Essentially I go into the crafting bench (lets say for packaged survival meals) and in the bench the craft is free. I go into the QoL mod options and check the recipe - the change i made is still present and selected (not sure what the green circle does but it seems to enable that change). If i uncheck and recheck the green circle, the change takes effect in the bench, but upon restarting or reloading the game the change (in only the bench) reverts to free, despite RimmSqol having the change already set.

Doesn't sound like an issue with this mod. According to your statement the mod applies it's changes correctly but another mod overwrites them during the game start(maybe during load). Try activating the "reapply on load" setting in the general category and if that isn't enough you can try moving the mod down in the load order(unlikely relevant but possible).

Changes are normally applied during game start in a load order independant event. After that only new changes are applied. You toggling the property change on/off for example reapplies the changes for that recipe. Since it works if you do that during a running game reapplying all changes during the loading process might work, however you also said that the changes had been overridden during reload - so the bugged mod might sabotage the recipes during load as well.

Yeah sounds about right. I did attempt to run the mod last in my loading order to see if that changed anything but it didn't. Reapply on load seems to work though thanks! I didn't even know it was an option to do that.
I may not have been clear enough earlier. The changes stay in QoL, just not in the bench as if when I load or restart the game the recipe in the bench is reset to free. Selecting reapply on load helped though so no issues now. Really well done mod by the way.
