The Magnetic Accelerator Cannons (or MACs) are a family of massive coilguns used by the UNSC as an integral main gun on their warships. MACs come in a number of variations for different purposes. MAC rounds have much more speed, range and damage than even a whole shipload of Archer Missiles. They are slow firing, bulky, loud, and the entire ship must align itself to make the shot connect. However, these guns are immensely powerful and long ranged, well suited to overloading energy shields and punching holes through ship armor.

This mod is originally Razortron's, which he made on request, and he allowed me to publish my version before his. This pack is for me to tweak guns to my own stats for my builds. This much-needed mod set contains seven separate fixed cannons with varying amounts of damage, reload speeds, range, and round speed.

Large-grid guns: 1x1x8

Small-grid guns: 1x1x13

Key: FR - Fire rate / DPS - Damage-per-shot (approx) / R - Range / PS - Projectile Speed

Frigate MAC: Mounted on Light Frigates and Corvettes. (Small grid only)
The lightest standard MAC cannon.
FR: 7rpm / DPS: 600k / R: 10km / PS: 1.8km/s / AOE: 3

Destroyer MAC: Mounted on Heavy Frigates and in pairs on Destroyers. (Small grid only)
Improved damage and projectile speed.
FR: 7rpm / DPS: 700k / R: 10km / PS: 1.9km/s / AOE: 4

Standard MAC: Mounted in varying numbers on cruisers, carriers, and battleships. (Large grid only)
Good damage, compounded if more are mounted.
FR: 7rpm / DPS: 1.2mil / R: 10km / PS: 2km/s / AOE: 7

Modified MAC: Mounted on retrofitted Halcyons and the Autumn-class. (Large grid only)
Much higher fire rate at a slight damage and range cost, and a slower projectile.
FR: 21rpm / DPS: 1mil / R: 9km / PS: 1.5km/s / AOE: 7

Prototype MAC: Mounted on the Orion-class. (Large grid only)
Very long range and enhanced damage, but low fire rate.
FR: 6rpm / DPS: 3mil / R: 45km / PS: 3km/s / AOE: 8

Super MkV MAC: Mounted on Orbital Defense Platforms. (Large grid only)
Long range, fastest projectile, and highest damage, but a slow fire rate.
FR: 5rpm / DPS: 10mil / R: 40km / PS: 5km/s / AOE: 25

Siege MAC: Mounted on the Phoenix-class and Hercules-class. (Large Grid Only)
Weak against heavy armor and shields, but a huge AOE against ground units and structures.
FR: 6rpm / DPS: 200k / R: 35km / PS: 2.9km/s / AOE: 50

Anyone know how to make small ship macs use the conveyor system? The ammo won't pass through any size conveyors at all.

I have no clue what lines to change in the mod itself to enable this

hell yeah! im super excited that you got back into the scene again and have been waiting for something similar to your mod come along. just nothing really has. though i do hope WeaponCore gets multiplayer compatibility

Wardog: Actually I've given some juicy models to Spacebar that he aims to do something with. The UNSC ones have the most potential at the moment, I'll try to get more out of him but he definitely wants to do stuff with it now that we have the WeaponCore

so as i've discovered the macs still work but they fire about 15 (large) blocks through a target before they explode not to sure why but it means they only really work as AP rounds against larger ships right now
