German Winter Whitewash

Description
Winter whitewash was applied as a temporary paint finish to vehicles serving in snowy conditions to provide a semblance of camouflage. The paint was applied in a fairly haphazard fashion and tended to be water soluble too, which resulted in becoming worn and streaky very quickly. Created by Starbuck.

Stay tuned for more additions to this skin pack for the following mods:
*UPDATE 7/29/16*: Beutepanzer Firefly added for Wikinger mod
*UPDATE 7/31/16*: Buetepanzer T34/76 added for Spearhead mod
*UPDATE 9/14/16*: Mesh removed from SdKfz 222 as it was noticably absent when playing with normal zoom
*UPDATE 12/30/17*: SU76, SU85, KV1, KV2, T35/85 Beutepanzers added

With all German vehicles from both factions represented, this skin pack has skins made specifically for the Wikinger Tuning Pack Mod

And with the Spearhead Tuning Pack Mod

Hi. 222 has the invisible mesh again.

I would like to add that despite my criticizm I vote up any skin that looks good overall, since it might be pleasing to someone else. I just wanted to share my opinion since I saw an artist complain about downvotes in the custom skins section.

Thanks for the info. So you made something akin to the command tank treatment. I will try the mod.

I understand. It is possible they didn't get enough votes though.

For the skins to be used with team colour I see some are non-historical, which the game already has too many. Meanwhile Brits don't even have a winter camo. Historical ones are few, and some have used or similar patterns which might be the deciding factor, although I think they are good and should be included for variety.

For the ones that come with their own decals, I see an overabundance of the glitchy mesh we have discussed before. Some bright decals look no different than those of Relic having no connection with the rest of the camo. I think blending decals is the important aspect that makes your skins stand out among the others.

@ViperCanel : Thanks again. No, not for in-game as there are many by other users still that are excellent that have yet been chosen for use. I'd rather not spend a lot of time on something that will most likely not make itnto the game.
The Wikinger skins are partial sets, yes. They work in conjunction/supplement with the mod that uses in-game skins. This allows us to have multiple Panther skins(for example) on the battlefield at the same time. :)

Excellent skins. Whitewash looks very good on olive drab. Do you plan on uploading more skins for the in-game store in the future?

From what I read in the description these are partial sets if I want to use them in the vanilla game, right?

@ViperCanel :Thanks! Happy New Year to you as well. Yes, I still make skins but they are primarily for the Wikinger tuning pack mod. I update these when we release new doctrines or add different units. When we finish the British and Soviet factions, you can expect new skin packs for them as well.

Hi Starbucks, happy new year. Do you still create skins? I just got the two Starbucks sets I was missing and decided to check your workshop to see if there is anything new. I guess you no longer work on skins but if you do, I recommend uploading this pack as well. It is very nice to see your quality skins as an official part of the game.

These are truly inspiring words. It is reassuring to know you think that way. Thank you for being a kind and understanding person, and improving your creations always.

I felt we have a similar mind set the moment I tested your skins and read your posts in Polycount, when I was considering joining it. It is always good to see people with such attention to detail and quality. Maybe we should play together some time. Have a nice day.
