Description
The ODST Orbital Drop-pod is a single-occupant vehicle utilized by UNSC Special Forces. It is used for deployment of elite troops from orbit.

The Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle, also known as the "egg", is designed for a high altitude deployment of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (and rarely, Spartans). It is launched from a ship and is rocket-propelled at high speed down to the surface, where, shortly before impact, thrusters brake the speed for a relatively safe landing. The pod can be steered lightly for accurate landings, and often lands before the enemy even know what they've seen. A Phoenix Assault ship can be equipped with a number of these.

The Drop pod is fairly cheap to make, and allows for small squads of troops to be quickly deployed to secure an area down on a planet. Use it to surprise your enemy or to sneakily deploy troops. I recommend a speed mod of close to 500 m/s for best effect.

To use this ship: Enter from the back (opposite side of the glass plate), select remote control. Once you unlock the landing gear from the ship ("1"), press "2" to activate thrusters. Use the camera to steer towards the landing zone. Once you have entered 70-100% gravity zone, turn off the main thrusters ("2") and press "4" to activate the stopping thrusters. If you stop too high up, turn them off and on until you land. Better a little too early than too late...

PS: This craft is based off of [CS]Rity's ODST Style Drop Pod with changes to propulsion.

It is possible but I am not aware of how.

anyway to set this up as a respawn ship from high orbit?

anyway u can do an all in one? would take too much time to grab each one individually

I found that the energy shield mod prevents the thing from disintergrating my own drop pod on impact entirely. It seems to be bugged to make the object invincible, and I'm not sure why. But either way, it makes it work like it does in the game and lore

i do say it was going to be harded

Weelll... wasted a whole day trying to perfect an automatically stopped version with sensors. It's super erratic, sometimes the pod only needs 200m to stop, other times it will barely be slowed down with 900m meters start. I guess the room for human error is more effective than whatever I can do.

It just needs a couple sensors... and a LOT of testing.

That is going to be harded to get it to land automatically and to keep it the same size even harder still

Glad you like it, I love it too. I'm gonna work on getting her to work with a sensor mod so she'll automatically stop and land just right. Works alright as it is, but there's a bit too much room for human error.
