In the distant future, accessible jump drive technology has enabled independent expansion beyond the Sol system.

Terrified by the initial wars and the potential for future conflicts, the government of Earth ordered its Trans-Neptunian Fleet to locate and seize control of all human settlements. Declaring all colonies not directly sanctioned by Earth as unlawful, the final end state is a unified humanity in peace with itself - by any means necessary.

Around the fringes of settled space, tensions have reached a boiling point as moons and planets lose their independence. From its large superstructures in the Alpha Centarui system, the Fleet conducts a seemingly endless string of military operations against competing military and mercenary organizations, pirates, and other stakeholders in the region.
