Description
rerelease of previous mod to use shared resources form core mod, defnames changed so not quite save-swappable with previous version

Main goal of these mods is to provide a free, unbundled equipment base for faction modders and anyone who needs it.

Compact pack of medieval steppe cultures apparel and weaponry equipment.

It's all just items. Also don't forget Core mod, it has base defs.

Apparel:
Clothes: kaftan, noble kaftan, nomad fur hood, noble hat
Helmets: lamellar aventail helmet, brigandine helmet, masked helmet, iron pagoda helmet, warrior fur cap
Armor: padded degel, iron degel, lamellar vest, lamellar heavy armor, maille shirt from core mod
Accessories: rattan shield, riding boots, bazubands, saber scabbard, bow and arrow quiver from core mod

Weapons: steppe warbow, lance, mace, axe, saber

Some of the apparels have multiple alternative modes that are there mostly for visuals but may or may not have actually different ingame stats, uses VE Framework to switch between the modes when equipped.



No known conflicts.


Craft with Color highly recommended so you can get your stuff appropriately painted and styled!




Q: Why didn't you just update the old mod?
A: Save breaking changes that had to be done for better maintainability.

Q: Why does <item> have <value><stat>?
A: If you're using CE we can have a design discussion, but I don't play vanilla nor pretend (or really think is possible) to understand how vanilla should be balanced, please do submit better values, here or in a gitub issue. If something looks like a typo, it most probably is.

Q: Is this compatible with Combat Extended?
A: I may not actually play the game but would still prefer to be able to play with my own mods, yes.

Q: Safe to add/remove midgame?
A: Safe to add midgame. Safe to remove midgame, but you will get a harmless one-time errors. Do mind loadouts tho.

For some reason the visitors were wearing arrow quivers made of literally every kind of leather at once. The Cumans must be really crazy archers..

Thank you, helmets appeared in crafting. Only the problem with rattan shield remains, I do not see these shields in crafting and technologies.

huh, apparently the nasal helm was the only one where i had crafting spot specified, i have no idea how this hasn't come up sooner lolwtf.

Help, I just recently started playing rimworld, so I may be missing something, but I can't find where the shields from this mod are made, as well as the helmet with a mask and the pagoda helmet. I didn't find any shields in the technologies and crafting at all, and about helmets it says that they are made simply on a workbench, but they are nowhere in the crafting menu. For example, another helmet with nose protection in the description is made in addition to the workbench in the fuel forge and I was able to make it.
