This mod adds a progenitor mechanoid, capable of gestating and repairing other mechs. It's unlocked at ultra mechtech. A mechanitor is still needed to control the mechs but this can be avoided with the Gestalt Engine from Reinforced Mechanoids. The progenitor is not capable of making subcores I'm sorry bros I dont know why

Do these work for Dead Man Switch mechs too?

@Siatru I had that issue with the Matriarch from Gestalt Engine standalone. I found the mod causing it was Many Jobs. If you use Many Jobs to have a standalone mechanitor worktype the mechs cannot be assigned to it. Perhaps it is the same issue here, if you use it

@siatru I am using work modes and progenitor is working fine. Maybe try it again? Also, Mlie it seems like the progenitor cannot resurrect mechs when it's connected to the Gestalt Engine.

@Siatru WVC Workmodes has recently been updated to better support Dead Man's Switch mechs, which use custom ThinkTrees, and it seems those changes have also fixed compatibility with this mod. I've made a Progenitor, and it's having no problem performing its duties while being set to the "work and recharge" mode.

I dunno how this works but the progenitor refuses to interact with the gestators... any tips?

@Ratman No, that is a whole other work-type that specifically blocks mechanoids
