S.A.F.S (Super Armored Fighting Suit) is a highly advanced and heavily armored exosuit designed for special operations, featuring enhanced strength, agility, and firepower.

    FAQ

  • Q: Is the S.A.F.S not supposed to take damage? Ive had it for a very long time now and never have had it take damage.
    SAFS is actually the first exosuit and wearable item in Barotrauma that takes damage. If you check the change notes and description, you'll find details about its development.

  • Q: How to repair the S.A.F.S?
    The game has a mechanic called "Repair Threshold" Once the suit's condition falls below that threshold, using the wrench will successfully repair it.

  • Q: Where do I find the Manual?
    Head to the Research Station to buy the manual.

  • Q: How do I craft things in SAFS mod?
    Read the Manual thoroughly (100%) to get the extra talent!-> gather the required resources -> load your materials into the Fabricator-> you’re all set!

  • Q: The mod isn’t working.
    I recommend resetting your mod list and reviewing your setup.

  • Q: I feel like the new arm attachments drain the fuel rod way too fast.
    Trying different fuel types like Thorium Fuel Rods might help with fuel consumption.

  • Q: I can't figure out how the ExoJet works.
    While in water, hold RMB, then press and hold LMB to activate ignition. Use the keys to navigate.

  • Q: How does the ExoShield work?
    When running towards the enemy with your shield in hand, press LMB to knock them down.

  • Q: Why does the nanochips lose condition?
    This is intentional. It is part of the overheating system.

  • Q: Why are some comments being removed from the page?

I don't seem to understand how the manual works. I've got the S.A.F.S extra talent(ive been reading the manual for 30+ minutes lol. they're still in my inventory, do i keep going?), all the resources I need to craft, and yet I am still incapable of crafting them; suits and nanochips. Am I missing something ? :steamsad:

Is it possible to reduce the suit's ammunition capacity and energy consumption, as carrying 4+ bars and ammunition boxes during combat is very inconvenient

When you refer to "the Research Station" do you mean any station with a research merchant? I have added this to an already started run and haven't figured out what kind of station I need to be looking out for. It could be from some extra station mods I have loaded that makes it harder to find.
