SOS2 - Show Hair Compatibility Patch

This patch make [CAT] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats (Show Hair) always show helmet when a pawn is walking in the vacuum area of SOS2 space map.

Difference with / without this patch:

- Without this patch, if you set "Hide Hat" or something alike in Show Hair for your EVA suits, your pawns will be visually exposed in the SOS2 outer space with naked head, which breaks immersion. But if you set EVA suits to "Hide All Hairs" (usually in "Default" column), it will cover the head without distinction of biome, even when they are on the planet surface where EVA is not required.

- With this patch, while your pawns are in the vacuum of SOS2 space map, they will always wear helmets regardless of your Show Hair settings. This way you can spare the setting slots of your EVA compatible suits for your perferred way to show/hide helmets on regular maps.

There is still a delay for putting on the helmet each time when your pawns go outside of your ship in the vacuum. This is a limit of Show Hair itself, there's nothing I can do to fix it.

Need to be loaded after both SOS2 and Show Hair. Harmony Required.

UPDATE: Now works on Rimnauts 2 space maps as well, at least when SOS 2 is present.


本补丁让“显示头发”模组([CAT] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats)在SOS2太空地图的真空区强制让你的小人显示头盔。

有无本补丁的区别

- 如果没有本补丁,在“显示头发”模组设置为隐藏头盔时,你的EVA小人会裸露着头部进入太空,看上去非常怪异。但如果你设置成“隐藏全部头发”(通常是在“默认”一列),又会无论气候地图都会遮住头部,即使行星表面的常规地图并不需要EVA头盔。

- 有该补丁的情况下,当你的小人进入SOS2太空地图的真空区时,会强制显示头盔,无视“显示头发”的设置。如此你可以腾出设置的槽位用来给地面常规地图设定显示头发的方案了。

注意每次在小人进入真空区时都会有个短暂的延迟才能显示头盔,这是“显示头发”模组本身的限制,我也没办法解决。

需要在SOS2和显示头发模组后加载。需要Harmony

更新:该补丁现在对Rimnauts 2的几个太空天体地图也有效了。至少有SOS2时如此。



Ce patch permet à [CAT] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats (Show Hair) d'afficher toujours le casque lorsqu'un coloniste marche dans la zone d'espace de la carte spatiale SOS2.

Différence avec/sans ce patch :

- Sans ce patch, si vous cachez les cheveux dans Show Hair pour vos casques EVA, vos colonistes seront visuellement exposés dans l'espace avec la tête nue, ce qui brise l'immersion. Mais si vous mettez la config à "Masquer tous les cheveux" (normalement dans la colonne "Par défaut"), elle s'appliquera à tous les biomes, incluant même la surface de la planète où l'EVA n'est pas nécessaire.

- Avec ce patch, pendant que vos colonistes sont dans l'espace de la carte SOS2, ils porteront toujours des casques quels que soient vos configs Show Hair. De cette façon, vous pouvez réserver les emplacements de configs à votre style préféré pour afficher les cheveux ou casques sur les cartes régulières non-SOS2.

Il y a encore un délai pour mettre le casque à chaque fois que vos colonistes sortent de votre vaisseau spatial. C'est la limite de Show Hair et je n'ai rien à faire malheureusement.

Doit être chargé après SOS2 et Show Hair. Harmony requis.

UPDATE: Ça marche aussi sur les cartes de corps celestes Rimnauts 2 maintenant, au moins avec SOS2 installé en même temps.

Updated, at least works with Rimnauts 2 when SOS2 is present.

I dont play Rimnauts 2 alone so maybe someone else can confirm if it works with Rimnauts 2 without SOS2

From my test Rimnauts 2 always use its own biome, whether with or without SOS2. With SOS2 the description "Outer Space" seems to be fake, it s still using its own biome.

All Rimnauts 2 biome def name starts with "Rimnauts2_". I may take advantage of this to add it in my script.

no i was saying because rimnauts 2 has their own spacesuit helmet, but also some people may prefer to use only rimnauts and not sos2...

@Archilyte If you have both SOS2 and Rimnaut 2, the latter will use SOS2 biome, maybe implicitely working with this patch.

this is a cool idea! can you also do one for Rimnauts 2 mod?
