Description
Multiplayer setup guide

Also try Bandit Creator mod which now controls spawn settings and many other aspects of bandits.

During the zombie apocalypse, It's not the zombies you should be afraid of; it's the people...

This mod introduces hostile (NPC) bandits into the game. Please be aware that the enemies in this mod are extremely dangerous, and provide an extent of challenges. Treat them as actual players when it comes to combat. You will need to relearn how to survive.

WORKS IN MULTIPLAYER and WITH EXISTING SAVES and ALL MAPS!

Bandit Spawning
Initially, a small groups of armed individuals with melee weapons appear in the world. Over time, much larger groups armed with handguns and rifles will arrive to take your head. In multiplayer on the other hand, this happens independently for each player. Newer players will have more so simple bandits attacking them, whereas long term players will have stronger bandits attacking them.

Bandit Customization
Some general customization is done via sandbox settings just like for any other mods.

Customization of bandit looks, weapons and spawn settings is now controlled by Bandit Creator which is a separate mod you need to subscribe to in order to make changes.

What you need to know about v2 version
Besides killing you, bandits can steal items from you base, sabotage your generators, vehicles or crops.
Bandits can destroy things: obstacles and furniture blocking their way, destroy doors and windows, destroy or remove barricades, naturally they can also simply open doors or gates.
They can have different extra traits which determine their extra skills
They carry different loot depending to their profession and skills
They will resupply with weapons or ammo from dead corpses and containers nearby.
Some of them rarely may bite you as a recently infected desperate individuals.
They don't know where you are until they see you or until they hear you.
They can shoot all weapons, including shotguns, revolvers or rifles with scopes, weapon range depends on weapon now.

Troubleshooting
There are no bandits
Do not turn off zombies in your world completely. Otherwise Bandits will not spawn. Turning off zombie respawn is ok.
Their spawning has a large random factor. But if they don't spawn for 5-7 consecutive days then something may be wrong.

There is too many bandits
Use Bandit Creator mod to tune the right amount for you.

Does anyone know why on every MP server I join which includes this mod, there seems to be choppy frame rate? The last server I was on looked into it and found it to be this mod, they removed it and the game ran like silk. Everyone on the server was experiencing the issue so its not an issue with my client. I've just tried playing on another MP server that has this mod and the problem is evident again. It seems this mod causes choppy frames, not low frame rate, just as you walk, you can see it skipping and walking seems to be really steppy. Has anyone else noticed this? Cheers

@slayer really cool find, i found a bug that if you have the last of us mod install you find some bandits NPCs that are merged with their NPCs
no issues encountered yet, so cool again, you guys should talk about it and make it official,Idk lore about the last of us.

@Kane I think you gotta press G (by default) and then choose the place where they should stay with the little squere that pops up. (I don't remember how to revert that though. I don't have many friendies spawn and they get killed anyway xD)

@DRAGO1212 weird. i tried twice and i got over three months and 15 days on both and they kept spawning, but i started a new one and i changed the starting month in the sandbox settings and the bandits never spawned. i can't tell you anything about the lua because i don't know anything abt modding, sorry

Had this bug where roadblock spawned and then suddently all zombies became bandits but at the same time they weren't. What i mean by that is that they voice acted when unseen but when seen, they acted as zombies, sometimes even shoot whilst walking. When you killed them, they had items that normally a bandit would have like crowbar, gun, ammo, soap, wielding mask and gun etc. Very odd.

this is an incredible mod, but i don't like how they spawn around me instead of random places.

As far as I understand, this problem should be solved by the Bandits Extra Options mod. But unfortunately it is still not updated...

How can we prevent bandits from appearing on our base ??? One time we almost got killed because of this.... And I don't understand how they spawn. Why do they spawn mostly near our base, but when we move far away from it, they appear very rarely, probably with a 5-10% chance.

hello is it a bug that defender leaving always their home and campers too :( i created friendly defender and camper but their leaving their place thats sad
