it is normal that after 2-3 weeks basicly every single bandit has some sort of gun, usually shotgun or sniper rifle. it gets kinda annoying cause you cant really fight em head on outside if you have a sniper rifle, so youre kinda just forced to commit roadkill.

Can you please slightly increase the text margins on the left and right in the sandbox settings? now you can adjust it without any problems and it's not necessary, but it still looks crooked at 1920x1080

Thank you so much for your hard work. Without the mod, this game is boring.

@slayer I know this is probably something to do with my load order or just a conflict of mods in general, but when a bandit dies it completely crashes my game like they will spawn and do their thing like normal and as soon as i hit them or shoot them my game lags and then once they die it completely freezes and i have to close the game via task manager. I don't get any errors when this is happening. Any idea as to what it could possibly be?

@Soulsteal considering bandits ARE zombies, the game might bug out and think they're actual zombies without assigning them Bandit behaviour. Afaik similar stuff happened in previous versions where bandits zombified under various circumstances. I had some of my friendly NPCs at guard posts suddenly turn into zomboids once, but I ususally treat it as them actually getting infected.

@way439 what do you mean by "marked in red"? If they're marked by red icons then they're hostiles.

Right-clicking on bandits works a bit weird, you have to click slightly below the bandit.

@Slayer on build 42 when playing on split screen bandits can't harm the second player but I react normally to him

@Slayer Is it possible to "teach" the bandits how to climb a ladder? Because when using the Ladder mod feels like cheating because the bandits aren' t able to climb it. They just run in circles doing nothing. Thank you

Hello, readers. This is a good mod, it gets creepy after more than 1,000 hours of carnage involving the walking dead. I would like to report a conflict with the "KillCount" mod when killing, if you open the character information, the information window just stretches infinitely along the letter "Y". Previously, there was no such problem with mods, but now it is like this. I apologize if the problem is known, or it cannot be fixed. This mod will bring back interest in the game, I advise you

@pgames-food @Max Payne I am fairly certain it is a bug. I was on a street when bullets started whizzing by me. It attracted a group of zombies and each time when I ran towards the direction the shot came from, I found zombie bandits and when I killed the busload of zombies that came, many of them had the same bandit loot. 45 and shotgun ammo, a revolver and shotgun, cigarettes, water etc. It’s either a bug or very odd mechanic I am not fully understanding.

Thank you for the explanation. However, I still can't see the relevant content when I right-click. When I right-click, I only see the default menu options. However, I noticed that these bandits are all marked in red—could this be related?

@pgames-food I think it's a bug but honestly yeah, it can be assumed that they just zombified after being infected previously. Same happened to me after an assault group spawned inside a house, they already spawned as zombies. One of them managed to say something before turning.

Is it possible to re-add the "remove all bandits" option to admin right click options **without having to play the game in debug mode** Like it previously was? Debug mode is mainly meant for creators, not the average player.

hi i think thats intended (it could be that after some time they become infected, or maybe there were injured form before, and then died and zombified) :)

I opened a door to a house and saw a bandit point a gun at me, I took cover outside, pulled out my gun and when I went back into the house he was a zombie. Unless there is some mechanic i am missing, this may be a bug.

Great mod, little feed back, hostile defenders (1st week) act very passive when zombies or player engage in their house, my last exp when i invade them was - 1 stay passive and been eaten by zombie next one act good - shoot me from corner, yet another one was on the 2nd floor in corner staring at the wall. could be eaten by zombies. Also too much loot in random hostiles, they are like resource couriers.

I am not quite sure if it' s related to your mod, have just seen the changelog with the "frozen zombie attack". Random zombies just freeze in place with the lunging animation. I have to bump them with my character to reset the freeze.

Balancing suggestion: make some / most of the water on bandits tainted, or make it so that some bandit clans have only tainted water.

As of now, every bandit has a full bottle of water or seltzer water on them. It makes sense for well equipped clans but not for ALL clans to have clean water, considering some of them live out in the wild (e.g. Hermits), and considering the water shutoff. It's also a balance issue because after the shutoff you can just loot clean water off bandit corpses.

Futhermore, it could spawn not only in bottles but other various contatiners like tin cans, water flasks or leather bags. Iirc in the previous version some of them had flasks and leather water bags. Would be a nice touch of realism.

Again, it could just be much rarer so it becomes a problem for the player. Back to my previous comment and to the comments of some other people, an option to customize all the loot (at least change the amount of each category), including water, would be most welcome.

@rinkashiriku they are present but are limited to a few clans that spawn around day 20 or so, one of them spawns on the 5th day iirc. One of the friendy clans is called Officers and they spawned for me a few times on the same day. You can create your own friendly clan and make it spawn whenever you wish.

I finally saw those bandits. But how do I get them to join me? I don't see any kind of 'Join' button or anything like that.

I think there has to be an option that disables friendly bandits attacking players when a player accidentally shot a bandit. We tried to simulate an army base and one of us shot a friendly bandit by accident making them all turn against us (that sucks)

Very good mod, but i have a problem with the settings. The number of bandits and the spawn chance cant be saved to a preset - each time i save, it just reverts to the default value. Though, other settings like the amount of loot in the base work normally.

ive noticed that the zeds will aggro onto me even if they are right next to a bandit whos shooting. is this a common bug or would my modlist be causing this? thank you

Just wanna drop some positivity and say thank you for your work on your npc mods! I love them and they really make this game better! they're some of the coolest most advanced npcs I've seen.. I've only seen ONE OTHER person able to make npcs that can drive, which is a huge feat on it's own. Thank you again for creating this mod and continuing to work on it, fix bugs, add new content, etc, even after all the pressure of popularity

Is there still an indicator when they spawn in? And can they spawn inside of player made bases, a large fort on a parking lot for example?

Unfortunately it's common when a thing becomes popular some truly negative things start happening. I've made some mods in my time (nothing that even comes close to this though) and the more popular a mod becomes the more nasty some of the comments can be.

@JossyFoxxy, not to worry, my original comment isn't directed to you at all the feedback is civil.

Anyway i'm not here to start virtue signalling just wanted to voice my support, it can be a lonely experience to mod anything so hopefully spirits can stay positive!

Greetings @Slayer. Congratulations on the release of the new version of Bandits and thank you so much for your continued hard work. I'm looking forward to trying out all the new features the mod brings. The only thing I have to report is that there's an error when the mod makes the bandits appear in the world (They don't appear at all, although they do in One Day Mod). I don't know if it's a conflict with another mod since the error in the console itself doesn't really tell you much, so good luck figuring out what's going on there. :steamhappy:

Obi Wan Kenobi although I'm actively commenting and reporting bugs too, your words sound relatable. I have no idea why so many people are dissatisfied with the new version and have so many trouble playing it, despite the fact it fixed a lot of things. Now bandits can at least fight zombies properly, which I'm quite happy about. I'm not a modding expert but so far I haven't experienced any major issues except the minor ones I reported. Don't mean to be rude to anyone.

I hope the author doesn't eventually get fed up with criticism and discontinue the mod for good...

I'm sorry if my comments are appalling, it's not my intention to be rude. I'm just informing that in my case, everything has been set up accordingly but the spawns aren't working. It's one of the best mods out there and one of my favorites so I'd like to continue using it

Again I'm sorry but the bandits are not spawning anymore. I started a new save, I have bandit creator and everything but so far it's day 20 and there have been no bandits...
