Pre-flight Inspection & Repair (Helicopters)

Description
Inspired by my dialogue with a real-life Blackhawk Co-pilot, I created this simple mod that allows you to conduct pre-flight inspection and maintenance to helicopters, and also conduct repair of individual components of the aircraft whenever damaged either mid-flight or in-combat.

This also introduces "Malfunctions" which can happen once you're in the air, as it is in real life. Now, if you don't conduct pre-flight, there's a big risk of malfunctions occurring mid-air.

This mod opens up the possibility of airbase ground crew/engineers and makes repairs a bit more fun than the vanilla. It also creates moments where you'll have to land to conduct emergency repairs, like those videos where an AH-64 had to land in a school backyard due to an emergency.

Inspection Points:
1. Main Rotors
2. Tail Rotors
3. Tail Boom
4. Engines 1 & 2
5. Hull
6. Fuel Systems

Keybinds:
1. Inspection Mode = O (Watch keybind)
2. Interaction = Custom Control #15 (User 15)

To use:
1. TOOL KIT REQUIRED
2. To enable Inspection Mode, press "O". (You'll probably need to press O a few times before Inspection Mod kicks in haha)
3. A hint on the upper right will indicate if the helicopter is in condition for flight.
4. To interact with the inspection points, hold the interaction button until inspection or maintenance is done.
5. Once all inspection points are cleared, the hint in the upper right will indicate if the heli is ready for flight.
6. Once the engine is on, a hint at the lower left will confirm whether your aircraft is in condition for flight.

Notes:
1. Once your aircraft gets damaged, it will require inspection again, and you'll become more vulnerable to malfunctions. So better land your helicopter right away.
2. Others can help you with pre-flight inspection, as long as they have Tool Kits as well. The more, the quicker.
3. Pairing this with the Enhanced Movement mod is highly advisable since you'll be climbing many helicopters. haha

Supported Helicopters:
1. Vanilla Helicopters
2. RHSUSAF Helicopters
3. TF373 MH-47G (you'll need a scaffold for this haha)
4. Hatcht H-60 Pack
5. Ah-64D Apache Longbow Offical Project
6. SOAR MH-60

This mod is still experimental and will be expanded soon. So don't expect perfection.

ENJOY!

@OzionHD, that only appears when you're using it at the Mission Editor/3D Editor, it doesn't appear if you play the mission as it is.

@Raven, it is MP useable. We use it on our server.

hey, wonderful mod for our Pilots. Is it possible to make it fully MP useable?

It seems like there is an issue with the Hatchet UH-60 with the miniguns on the side. There are two separate preflight models, one with correct placement of inspection points, and one with two points that are impossible to get to; that being the tail rotor and tail boom. I have tried to get to the boom on the second model but its about impossible.

Na the idea is cool but like i said ace is like cba the base asset for interaction no need to make things even more complicate for the player keybind whise

but thats only my opinion besides that still great mod/idea

@scar , I probably won't because I intended this mod to be used by players, since you'll need to climb up and down the aircraft, which, if applied to AI would probably be a TON of work. :)

Thank you for suggesting! :) But yeh, I don't think I can execute it.

don't wanna put pressure on you but you should make it so the AI can repair this stuff, that'd be cool. don't overwork yourself obviously, just a suggestion

@HIGHZUNG have you tried what you mentioned about compatibility? :)

Either way. the main focus of the mod is the Pre-flight Inspection, not interactive repair.
