Description
Update for 1.9. Report any bugs ( better to test to make sure it's the problem with this mod itself).

Adapted to 1.9's trade system, the trade ability of natural harbors has been strengthened. Areas with natural harbors are now better suited to become trade hubs. Correspondingly, the penalty for cold water harbors has been amplified, giving Russia a greater motivation to look for unfrozen harbors.

A new upgrade of the classic Mod! Lets you get rid of the map error. Work with any game version. Updated with the latest 1.5 syntax to be compatible with any map modification mod.If you only want to subscribe to one State Trait Mod, this is the one you need!

Intro:
This Mod is available at More State Modifiers and State Traits Expanded, combining the regional qualities of Mods such asImproved southern Europe traits, Cold Water Ports, and more. It is a fully comprehensive upgrade to the existing community State Traits Mods, adding over 200 different region traits to the map. It also upgrades all ports to the form of increased throughput inBetter Natural Harbor, and changes all forests to Not Just Hardwood-inspired hardwood throughput to logging throughput. More secrets to explore in the game!

Differences from previous Mods:
Because of the use of the latest 1.5 statements, it allows the addition of regional traits to get rid of modifying the map itself. This allows the mod to not fail with game updates, and you will never see a missing piece of France or the Ruhr again. And as an added bonus, you can now install any map change mod you like, and even if there is a conflict, it will not report an error (but rather simply partially fail), but there may be misalignment of the traits (depending on the key values used by the author).

Some minor changes:
Most trait effects are ~10% throughput, some are 20% and higher.
All forest bonuses for hardwoods were replaced with logging bonuses.
All harbours added a throughput bonus based on level (useful considering the cuts in 1.5 to the number of Convoys).

In-depth explanation of the map problem:
Most of the map changes involved in this game require changes to the "map_data" itself, i.e. hard-coded changes to the in-game map. Unfortunately, prior to version 1.5, all "State Traits" were added in this way, which resulted in poor compatibility for these mods. This mod completely changes that, using the new, almost completely conflict-free statements introduced in 1.5, making it possible to break the map into small pieces without error (even if the IDs of the regions are preserved. It still works). So I can confidently say that any compatibility problem occur must be from another mod.

Compatibility:
Theoretically compatible with all Mods, but if a Mod with a similar structure such as Cold Water Ports is used, it will appear in some states as two Cold Water Ports.

Q&A:
Q: Can I add it during the game?
A: Adding this Mod during gameplay has no effect, the global statement is to assign state traits when starting a new game.


Q: Can I make other localisations?
A: Sure! You can even send them to me to integrate inside this Mod.

Q: Can I use the content inside?
A: Because a lot of the stuff in this one isn't original to me, you'll probably need to contact the original author.

Q: What if I have a question and want to give feedback?
A: Please go to this discussion forum and follow the format and I will fix it ASAP.

Q: What if I want to suggest a new trait but it's not in there?
A: Suggest your idea here here! If you can bring a reason for it, that's even better.

Q: Can I update this mod?
A: Sure! Who wouldn't be happy to see someone take over their work. (LOL)

PS: I don't know how to make cover, anyone who could provide me with an attractive cover is appreciated.

Some Technical Notes:
This mod achieves the separation of the state traits from the map itself by hardcoding the traits into the states itself, to the statement "s:STATE_NORRLAND = { add_state_trait = state_trait_cold_water_port }".

No worries. That's how this mod is designed. It may cause minor errors, but it won't affect your game or cause it to crash.

mb, I narrowed down which mod is causing the crash in MP. Its "cheaper charters" for some reason...

I got mistaken as the error log has a lot of errors from this mod, but ultimately it didn't cause the crash I guess.

I do hope to one day be more capable, I can see why that would useful. I think the mod author for historical pop growth and resources tried to explain this to me but I was so lost lmao, I think I get it now lol
