Time Harvest

Description
Time Harvest - V1.6


Adds a number of new Psy powers which are designed to reduce or increase the age of the target. The long term objective of the mod is to add a number of powers designed to syphon years from other pawns.



Powers
Age Up = Increases the targets age by 1 year.
Age Down = Decreases the targets age by 1 year.
Age Up +10 = Increases the targets age by 10 years.
Age Baby = Curse your opponent by turning them into a helpless baby.
Age Elderly = Curses the target pawn and change their age to 200 years old.
Age Siphon = Steals one year of life from the target and gives it to the caster.
Age Double = Doubles the targets biological age. This can be used on the caster as well as animals.
Age Custom = Set the targets age to any predefined setting.
Harvest Skill = Steal one skill point from the pawn and transfer it to the caster.

Ability limitations
The abilities cannot be used on mechs. Most of abilities can be used on the caster. Siphon powers can be used on animals but this has not been tested thoroughly.

Balance
Most of the powers require you to be a level 4 psycaster however the cost is fairly cheap. I would welcome any feedback on how to balance the mod. This mod is an experiment, it was not designed to be balanced.



Know Bugs
Some errors have been observed when transforming pawns from an adult to a baby with various mods. I would recommend you use the character editor if a pawn uses a custom body.

Mood effects are supposed to apply when some of the abilities are used but they do not seem to activate for some reason.

The goal of the mod was to create a number of abilities to alter the age of pawns quickly and easily.

Requirements
Requires the Royalty DLC for Rimworld.
Requires the Vanilla Psycast Expanded mod.

Short description
This mod for Rimworld adds a number of new psychic powers and abilities.

Removal
The mod should be safe to remove mid-game however anyone who possessed these abilities will probably have empty placeholder icon(s) when they select the pawn.

Load Order
Load order should not matter, however make sure the mod loads after Vanilla Psycasts expanded, Harmony and HugsLib for full compatibility.

@Jabeesus Yes, the Custom Age power should work on any entity which is marked as alive, animal, human, mechanoid.

Part 1/4:

Good mod, but I think it is "too broken".

Harvest Skill is very strong ability, especially on higher levels. To balance it - there is a need for drawback of usage of that skill. For example, target loses not one level of the skill, but loses amount of levels equal to XP that caster gained from Harvest Skill.
Also, make it stun the user for a day or more after cast to make it less ultimate ability (like, user needs time to understand what he harvested, and so he falls in coma-like state for a time).
Good idea to kill target if stolen XP is more than target has.
Part 2/4:

Better rework for "Harvest Skill": make this ability steal XP in all categories where XP is present, amount depending on psy-sensitivity, not levels. This XP equally spread among all categories evenly, but if there is no XP left in category - it starts to steal more from others, untill there is no XP left. Each cast can add brain illnesses to target, and if there are illnesses in target's brain - caster can with a chance also consume it (so it would be a risk to steal from ill targets).
Part 3/4:

Age up and Age down spells - I think both of this spells should change caster's age as well: "Age up" of the target reduces age of the caster for half of that amount, and "Age down" should add double age amount to the caster.

Age Baby and Age Elderly - good spells in concept. Age Baby could make any target except caster into a baby, should cost around 75% of concentration or even more. About Age Elderly - it would be cool if it wouldn't set age to 200, but make target to recieve debuff, that makes it's age rapidly (100 times faster for a single day; duration increases with psy-sensitivity).

Age Double - broken in matter of balance. There are mods that makes pawn stronger with age, and this think can make pawn that are usually aged maximum in hundred years into aging into a thousands or even millions of years. I don't know what can be done about it.
Part 4/4
Also, want to see spells that will make target aged for the debuff duration and than reverse it back to the original age. This also includes ability to reduce target's age to baby for a time and than return it back to normal. It would be best if it works gradually over time, making pawn return to normal not instantly but with each hour.

And the main problem: this mod looks very much like "Chronopath" from VPE, so I hope you can make this mod unique addition for VPE, that "feels" different from Chronopath branch.

@ramil319 Glad to help - You may need to reconfigure the mod settings as they maybe set back to the defaults. I tested a couple of abilities which worked. Have fun.
