[WOTC] Iridar's Resizable Armor

Description
This mod adds sliders that can be used to resize and reposition individual cosmetic body parts. Helmet too small? Make it bigger. Goggles clip through your anthro cosmetics? Move them.

Being able to do this opens a whole new dimension in soldier customization.

LIMITATIONS
  • Does not work in Character Pool.
  • The head cannot be resized.
  • Physics assets, like cloaks, cannot be resized at the moment.
  • If you move or resize a body part too much, there will be animation issues. To minimize this effect, try to move and resize the parts as little as possible.
  • The information about body part size and location is stored for each soldier individually. Resizing or moving a body part for one soldier will have no effect on other soldiers. The information is not saved to Character Pool and it cannot be moved between campaigns.

COMPATIBILITY

The mod should be compatible with ALL cosmetic mods, don't even ask.

[WOTC] Unrestricted Customization Redux - compatible, but if you use both mods on a Mac, the game will crash. May not work on Linux as well, unless running the Windows version on Proton.

WotC Customize Soldier Size - may or may not be compatible, but there's no reason to use them together, my mod also allows resizing the entire soldier model.

DRAG AND DROP

The new UI panel with size and location sliders is located in the top right corner of the soldier appearance customization screen by default. There is a button you can use to hide it.

In case the panel clips with UI elements from other mods, you can move it by holding the left mouse on that button to enable the drag and drop mode. Then move your mouse on top of the arrow icons to reposition it. Click at the center button when you're done.

See the video for a demonstration.

CONFIGURATION

Maximum body part size and movement distance can be configured in:
..\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2969648947\Config\XComUI.ini

REQUIREMENTS

Safe to add mid-campaign.

gotcha, didn't notice it nearly as much in the demo video. So I guess it's just more noticeable on some pieces than others. Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, as mentioned in the description, this is normal. Nothing can be done about it.

Hmm, When I move head cosmetics, even just a little bit, the animations break in that the movement becomes unsynched. Is that what normal?

And it seems to depend on the animation rather than the amount of movement. Certain attitudes for example will make the cosmetics shift much more than others.

You can resize weapons with XSkin.

I was wondering if it would be possible to resize weapons too. I allowed SPARK weapons to be carried by some classes but they are still sized for the SPARK units. It would be nice to see them not so comically oversized.

@Lorruhamah It isn't working for me neither with those parts and some doesn't change at all regardless of tuning the sliders

very good. but doesn't work on char pool customization and you cannot enter the number or size you want. so it is hard to resize an item cuz of the sensetivity...

Does anyone know why this isnt working for shoulders, torso gear or legs? The panel simply doenst show up for those.

Hey bud, this mod does not seem to be working with [WOTC] Unrestricted Customization Redux. If using both, I only see the UI for UCR and not your mod. Am I missing something?

okay i will try make them aware of this
