Morgenröte – Dawn of Flavor is a Mod to enrich the world of Victoria 3 with culture, beauty and lifestyle. We want to improve the cultural and scientific aspects of the Victorian century that only appear briefly in the previously sterile game world. These include immersive scientific expeditions, increasing prestige through culture, and training artists and scientists.






The Project
  • Scientists (“academics”) such as archaeologists, anthropologists, naturalists, paleontologists, astronomers and engineers, including a scientific society. These academics not only have special skills to revolutionize 19th century science, but can change the academic worldview at scientific conferences.
  • Artists such as composers, painters and writers who can turn even small nations into cultural centers. Nations adopt certain cultural traditions, build galleries or promote the book industry, and try to win international prizes.
  • Other personalities from society and sport, such as balloonists, pilots or athletes, who gain international reputation. The Olympic Games were added, aviation was significantly expanded, whether with airports, new mobilization options, giant airships or the legendary Schneider Trophy.



Compatibility
Although we try to touch as few vanilla files as necessary, we still need to overwrite some of the files. This applies particularily to various technologies, buildings, pop needs and buy packages. Mods that also modify those files will probably need a compatch.



Version
The current version is 2.5.0 "Filopanti". Morgenröte is compatible with 1.11.1

    that makes sense and don't get me wrong, I love the mod and I appreciate that you guys have put so much work into it
    but I do think I would rather just have vanilla loading screens if the alternative is AI ones

    Actually, I've done some custom icons of my own to replace the AI art, as well as loading screen replacement based on mid and late XIX and early XX century paintings.

    If you're ok with it I can share you the files. Or release them as a sub-mod.

    @Void🌹: As this mod is done purely in our free time and we already spent quite a bit on various art works and 3D assets, the only ways I see is if we find an artist or if someone finances an artist for us.

    for a mod that includes so much art history, there is a bit of irony in having AI art loading screens
    I get having placeholder ai art for stuff like icons
    but any chance we can get rid of the AI loading screens?
