The Fall

Description
"The Fall" is a level about plunging through a city, starting from "street level" down through to the abandoned sublevels. There is not as much a focus on obstacle dodging, but rather using your thrusters to stay on the track at very high speeds and at unusual orientations with respect to gravity. Again, use of thrusters and gravity awareness is absolutely essential.

This level would've been pretty good if you had just disabled flight. With flight, most of it is just redundant as you can just fly the entire distance.

Lack of checkpoints and regens.. Would be a lot better with more of those

Small update addressing some pain points:
Moved one checkpoint and added two more.
Added a saw to the middle of one fork near the beginning of the level to make the branch more obvious.
Removed laser grid (you used to approach too quickly to make it anything other than chance)
Changed ramp at bottom of fall to a tunnel opening. It should be much easier to see.

Remember: You should use your thrusters to stay on the track. To stick to a track that is curving down, use the thrusters on the hood (LB+fwd with Xbox, W on keyboard)

Very fast paced track, and verticality forces you to use boosters to keep traction. I usually failed at laser trap because I either smashed into it if I simply jumped, or I was dragged away if I switched to flight mode and it was hard to get back on track and nail the notch I'm supposed to land into.

Excellent map. Great layout, good use of jumps, no cheap traps. Most of the jumps were a slight bit wonky due to needing mid-air course corrections but otherwise well done. Art style/theme's good, music's very fitting for this type of stage, and the difficulty was well paced.

Only real negative feedback I'd have is the jump through the big laser grid down toward the city (I'm assuming is "The Fall" itself). It took a couple deaths to get a solid idea where I was going. The lights helped but there could've been a better indication where the route was, maybe brighter lights on the actual track or some way to see it more visibly. There could also be more boost cooldown rings throughout the stage to encourage more momentum through the map.

Otherwise, awesome stage that'll be keeping a nice spot in my faves!

Definitely one of my favorite tracks. My only complaint would be that it is too easy to get the gold medal. I died twice and still managed it.
