Dynamic Access Control

By Blues Hailfire

Create a password controlled door using any number of doors or LCDs!
Will now support any number of different security groups!


HOW DO I USE THIS?
Dynamic Access control allows multiple security groups with any number of doors and
lcds to be used and controlled via one script.
-Contains All features of previous scripts
-Adds the ability to add localized lock screen text
-Adds the ability to add localized additional password requirements
-Removes support for name only objects, objects must be assigned to group
SET UP INSTRUCTIONS:
Create a group containing one or more LCDs and one or more Doors.
Add that group name below in 'SecurityGroups' and again in 'LocalParamaters'
(By default Security and Vault Exist)
In 'SecurityGroups' add the lock screen text for that secuirty group
In 'LocalParamaters' add any aditional things to verify for that security group only
Add Authorized Users and additional information you wish then to enter to be verified
(No Password/Or checked requirement may contain the username)

WHAT'S IT FOR?
Tired of faction mated moving stuff and not owning up to it? What about new faction mates mucking things up? This scrip is designed to do two things, the first it keeps players without the right credentials out, the second is to log what players open the door. Very useful for security and accountability.

is there a way to make the code trigger a timer block if the credentials dont match, im trying to trigger an alarm in my station for when someone tries to crack the login

I actually ran into that problem myself recently. I made an oversight about looping. I'm out of town this week but I will publish a fix next week.

Hello great script! I use this pretty frequently on Stone Industries Gaming for buying and selling ores public. The issue i run into frequently lately is the program block doesnt auto refresh and when it hasnt been recompiled after some time, it gets stuck on not reading the doors and lcd panels. I think the fix for this is everytime the program block is run it does an auto refresh for the doors and lcds. I think this is missing in the script, once it has a door and lcd is no longer searches for new door or lcd.

perhaps this could be done by having a sensor set to run the programmable block with the argument Refresh upon detecting a smallgrid, player, etc. that way the code is different every time, which would prevent the player from having his ship stolen by the code being the same as before.

is it possible to make this script have a randomly generated code EX
Player 1 docks to a station, looks at what the code is for their secure hangar (ABCD123), goes into the station to use store block, come back enter the code, and leave.
Player 2 docks to same hangar, looks at code (BCDA231), goes into station to use store block, comes back enters code, and leaves

Well, we found a way out of the situation. The password became just the code name of the project. And the dictionary already has the character's call sign and his personal password.

No problem! Next Version the hope is to allow passwords by rank and or user. As well as allow for multiple sets of doors and LCDs.
