Trade Routes

Description
Trade Routes

Tired of manually supplying all your (or your friends) factories? Your cargo ships can do it for you. This mod adds configurable inter sector trade routes to the game, inspired by the Anno games. Your ships will trade goods in different sectors just like ships in Anno trade on islands.

Press the waypoint icon on the top right of your screen to open the interface and manage your trade routes. To start a trade route use the new ship order 'Traderoute' - available on the map and the ship interaction menu (press 'F').

Note: Ignore the [ABANDONED] note on required mods, just install them, it will work well - I will keep up compatibility.

Issues
Known issues: https://gitlab.com/hams-avorion-projects/trade-route-order/-/issues

Tips
- Try to hover labels with your cursor: a lot labels got tooltips

Usage on servers
The mod also works well for servers. If you have issues with player sectors getting unloaded because of the 'aliveSectorsPerPlayer' server setting (max active sectors per player) you may want to install the EntityLoader mod.
It will keep sectors alive having a trading ship inside.

Roadmap
- Improve the user interface and usability - please leave your feedback to make the UI more intuitive to use
- [Done] Improve the sector selection map (partially done - maybe more will come)
- [Done] For servers: keep sectors active that have a trading ship in it - the trade routes should not break on sectors being unloaded (coming soon)
- [Done] Add the trade route ship order to the map
- [Done] Implement the "travel" feature to make the captain handle jumps, that are more far away then the hyperspace reach of the ship (coming soon)
- Improve the trading ai - ship should prefer own stations, then alliance stations, then foreign stations
- Add drag & drop to sort the sector list (not sure if this will ever come)
- [Done] Add german translation
- Add support for alliance ships
- Implement a goods list template manager that you can load in the sector manager (user suggestion)
- Implement absolute value to buy/sell amount text field (user suggestion)

If the mod is installed correctly it should work. However, if there is Traderoute command available please upload a client and server log to www.pastebin.com and send me the link to access the files.

I don't see that command, so now I'm kinda confused.

@Kot-sornyak You can either interact with the ship by pressing F and activate the order "Traderoute", or you do so on the galaxy map.

How do you actually get them to start the route?

@doomhead Thanks for the suggestion. With the design of this mod this is technically not really possible, I do not plan to add this feature. You may use the price limit to filter some stations out.
