"War... war never changes!"

What is ReGrowth?

ReGrowth is a mod deeply influenced by the philosophy of the Vanilla Expanded Series and the understanding how biomes work, what role they play in your game. Everything added was made to fit or mirror vanilla. From a simple UI texture to a new more complex system, being as performance and vanilla friendly is the main objective we have.

Inspired by another game series I enjoy, the “Fallout” games, this mod adds three different wasteland biomes to the game. Unlike my other biomes, this one is bleak, empty, desolate and by default against the player. Wasteland biomes are always polluted, offer little food and dangerous weather.

Wastelands are a simple biome, there is no performance hungry code or new features you will only find there. Its goal is to add variety for the player.

ReGrowth is designed to be as lightweight as possible, adding the minimum of new code required for its auditions to work.

These are all the mods we currently support from our end:

  • Vanilla Animals Expanded

Q: Can this mod be added to an existing save?
A: Yes, but you won't see the biome unless you create a new save.

Q: Can this mod be removed from a save?
A: No, I do not recommend removing mods that add a biome during an active game.

Q: Can I use other mods that do similar changes to the game? (GreenRim, etc.)
A: Probably yes, but I can't guarantee that everything works as it should.

Q: Is this mod part of the Vanilla Expanded Series?
A: No, while you might see similar people attached, it is NOT a Vanilla Expanded mod.

Stock, you increase/decrease spawn rate when you tweak in-game settings at world generation.

I haven't been able to get the wasteland biomes to spawn anymore, I remember I turned down their commonality once, but I can't find which menu I did that in, because the mod settings is only to fully disable them.

Same problem as user @Carl der große
This mod makes me unable to generate maps at all, even with no other mod other than the required mods loaded.

Seems to be no longer compatible with WBP included in Regrowth: Core (if it ever was, i'm not sure))

As I've said a few times here already, if you're loading nothing but the regrowth mods and their dependencies, then it's gotta be one of the other regrowth mods that this one is conflicting with, because I'm running this mod on a modlist with 770+ mods and my worlds generate fine. I'm not using every single regrowth mod though. Whatever's causing this issue must be a conflict with one of the ones I don't use, like boiling or aspen. You guys should be able to narrow down the problem pretty easily then decide which one you want to keep.

Yeah, I had a generation issue with the whole Regrowth Core series. I removed them one by one to find out that this was the culprit.

Launched Rimworld with all the other mods and worked perfectly.

Sad, the wasteland was my favorite for a Fallout colony
