Andromeda Ascendant

Description
“The long night has come. The Systems Commonwealth the greatest civilization in history has fallen. Now, one ship, one crew have vowed to drive back the night and rekindle the light of civilization. On the starship Andromeda hope lives again” -Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda TV Series

After hundreds and hundreds of hours of building here it is.

I present to you The Andromeda Ascendant, my High Guard Glorious Heritage Class Heavy Cruiser.

A 15 slot,

18,761 blocks mid/late game ship, with 124m/s acceleration and a max velocity of 1333m/s.

She is fairly maneuverable for her size with a yaw and pitch of 0.38, and a roll of 0.45.

Her hull is all armor blocks even if it doesn't look like it. I'm using a custom armor texture. Use the Armor Texture Replacer mod for a similar look:

She has ample room for fighters. To keep in theme I recommend the wonderful SivCorp slipfighters:

@napabe84 Having a High Guard HCBG (Heavy Cruiser Battle Group) is always a good idea. For you know "peaceful" first contact missions, and during "aggressive negotiations." A display of strength, a strategy Admiral Constanza Stark liked to use:

"I've always found a fully deployed
battle group to be the most
effective negotiator."

This is a beautiful Build. Im glad i took a look at your other workshop creations, in my next game I think i'll have a High Gaurd fleet follow me into the core.

razorback, nope no turret hard points. The problem I have with turret base blocks is where I'd like to have them I can't put them because turret corner blocks do not exist. Vanilla turrets though can be placed anywhere. The turrets I would use would all be fairly small turrets anyway which are limited later in the game. And with turret lock blocks broken for custom turrets, I'm not sure whether I'll ever add them to this ship. I won't say never, but right now, almost none of my ships have them with the exception of the ship I'm about to release. Sorry.

@cozwort1, Yes it will totally work without the texture replacer.
