Descriere
My workshop: Teldaril's Workshop

By default these assets are H3 office growables. The [RICO] tag is only relevant if you use the RICO mod .

-- Important --
These are 27 different H3 office growables, but they all use the same texture maps for their main mesh. That is why the excellent Loading Screen Mod is listed as requirement. With the mod the game only needs to load all the texture maps (d, n, s, i, c, a) once and every growable will use them. Unfortunately you still have to download all maps for all assets. That is why it is over 70mb.

My asset packs H5 Residential Generic Futuristic Blocks for residential and H3 Commercial Generic Futuristic Blocks for commercial are the same assets and thus also will need the same maps as the assets in this pack and benefit from the Loading Screen Mod.
-- Important --

I wanted to create a generic futuristic high density building basis. My plan is to add thematically corresponding assets in the future.

Names for Find it! are e.g. "Futuristic O 4x4 24 P1".
  • Always starts with "Futuristic"
  • "O" for office
  • footprint "4x4", "4x3", "3x4", "2x4", "3x3", "2x3", "3x2"
  • floor count "24", "21", "18"
  • "P1", "P2", "W1", "W2", "C1", "C2"

Notes:
  • There are some corner footprints that won't grow by default because lower level vanilla assets doesn't have this footprint. 3x4 corner and 4x3 corner. (European office only has 2x2, 2x3, 3x2, 3x3 corners and International has 4x4 corner) So you need to have lower level assets with the respective footprint, RICO, Ploppable Growables or other means to get them.

  • The required prop is a hologram made by me but it is not necessary for the assets if you don't want it.

  • All assets have custom LODs with individual texture maps. But the amount of map space for all LODs combined is lower than for an asset with 1024x512 maps.

  • There are color maps for certain parts of the assets, but by default all are white.

  • Few props are used. On average 4 - 5 lights, an entrance and the hologram.

  • The screenshots are taken with Ultimate Eyecandy v1.5.2 and Relight.

Assets:
  • sizes: 4 4x4 (1 corner), 3 4x3 (1 corner), 5 3x4 (1 corner), 5 3x3 (2 corners), 1 3x2 (1 corner), 5 2x4, 4 2x3 (1 corner)
  • mesh / tris / map size / LOD tris / LOD map size / maps
  • Main / 1308 - 3486 / 1024x1024 / 28 - 59 / 128x128 / d, n, s, i, c, a
  • on average 2046 tris per main mesh / 43 tris per LOD mesh

RICO
  • All assets have roughly the same stats as vanilla growables.

Same growable is not set by default

I just came here to post the same thing. Can confirm what FLSoz reports is the same for me. Manually adding local settings to make them growable works. If the author has a chance to update these assets it would be much appreciated though.

update: did some debugging on my own, turns out it's from RICO revisited - growable is apparently not set, so I have to add manual local overrides to the rico settings to allow it to be growable as well

I'm getting "Not Loaded" when trying to use these with building themes, and looking in the style menu just shows a bunch of "MISSING" errors. Can still plop, but these absolutely refuse to grow. I tried without building themes first, but the district just kept trying to spawn other buildings, then realizing they weren't in this set, and then destroying them over and over again. I gave them all space for 4x4, but they just didn't spawn. Anyone else have this? I refuse to manually plop down an entire city

Hey Teldaril, sorry for the aside, this is unrelated to this building.

I'm trying to export a custom citizen from Blender (tried both 2.8/2.79, FBX 7 and 6.1 ASCII). The (custom) mesh is correctly parented to the rig, weight-painted appropriately - scale and rotation are correct - but it's blown to bits in the asset editor. I'm wondering if it's an armature import or export setting or if I need to fix it up in Unity or something.

From some Googling, it sounds like you've had some success with this. Any suggestions? And if I'm mistaken here, thanks for your time anyway!

Thanks!

No, it doesn't need RICO! A lot of the assets will just spawn (in this case as office lvl3). But not all of the footprints have lower level buildings to grow on their own. In case of the offices 4x3 and 3x4 corners won't grow, because vanilla offices don't have these footprints. Without RICO you either need lower level offices with the missing footprints from the workshop so they can grow on their own or you need Ploppable Growables so you can plop them yourself. Or you just will see 25 of the 27 buildings appear in your city.

So I assume this thing needs RICO?
