Description
THREE NEW SPECIALIZATIONS, ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGES and LEADERBOARD, and SCREENSHOT WINNING CONTEST. LET THE GAMES BEGIN CHALLENGERS!!!



PERKS

//Corporal
KNIGHT: This soldier is destined to fight alone on the battlefield. Their first 3 attack actions each turn are free. They also have Mindshield and +1 damage bonus.
BISHOP: Bishops fight in pairs, doing as much damage as a normal squad with two soldiers. Their first attack action each turn is free. They also have +1 damage bonus.
ROOK: Rooks battle in groups of three. They each have Run and Gun and its cooldown is reduced by 1 every kill.

(Note: Sending Knights, Bishops, or Rooks with soldiers not as intended [as in not solo, duo or trio] will result in soldiers permanently losing aim. Exact details are shown on the perks themselves under their detailed descriptions in-game.)

//Sergeant
BLACKMAIL - Enter concealment on a kill if it's your second or later attack this turn. Works great against Lost. (May not work with the perk "Bloodlust")
SURVEILLANCE - Detect enemies within a 26 radius of you even without line of sight. Detects Burrowed and Hidden enemies.
DEVOUR - 40% chance to panic organic enemies on a hit.

//Lieutenant
NO RECOIL - Your second and later attacks each turn have +8 aim and +15 crit chance.
SHIELD RUNNER - +2 mobility and +1 shield HP.
HEALGASM - Heal self and allies within 1 tile for 3HP for 1 action point. 3 turn cooldown.

//Captain
ENERGY BAR - Heal self for 2HP as a free action. 1 turn cooldown.
HICCUP - 2 charges per mission, hacks target for 1 turn. If you miss the target with Hiccup a charge is still lost.
SCRAPSHIELD - Robotic kills grant this soldier 3 Shield HP. Can trigger 3 times per mission.

//Major
BLANKSHOT - Deals ranged primary damage -3 as a free action, no ammo cost. Can be fired even when your mag is 'empty'. Gains a charge every time you Reload.
CALL EM OUT - This soldier's 1st kill each turn grants themselves and all allies +15 aim and -10 defense until the start of their next turn.
CHECKMATE - Requires Rook. This soldier has +5 aim and +40 crit chance against flanked targets.

//Colonel
CAN'T TOUCH THIS - You have +40 defense, -5 per enemy in sight.
KILLSHOT - Ranged Primary attack with a cooldown. Deals +1 damage per that soldier's kills on a mission.
STOCKSHOT - 4 charges of a standard shot that has -1 damage, +5 aim and +10 crit chance. This shot costs only a single action and doesn't end your turn.

//Brigadier
MINDHACK - Requires Knight. Take control of target unit for 3 turns with 4 turn cooldown. Sword/Combat Knife ability.
HARDCORE - Lose 6 HP at mission start to gain 6 damage on some attacks, like Standard Shot. Another downside to this perk is that it will send this soldier in the Medical Bay with injuries even when they win the mission flawlessly. This is to balance out its raw damage-dealing power.
SUPERHERO - Your second and later attacks deal +3 damage.


ACHIEVEMENTS

RULES: What mods you use is up to you. All I ask is that you feel good about yourself in the end. No ini edits or console commands permitted. For achievements that require a video from mission start to finish you may not "Load Game" during the video.

KNIGHT TROPHIES:
- A single soldier must be deployed with the Corporal perk "Knight" to earn these trophies.

(GOLD TROPHY)
BLACKMAIL PRO: On video, use Blackmail and other perks to CONCEAL 4 times in a single turn without Lost involvement.


(SILVER TROPHY)
LIGHTING GRASP: On video, have a single soldier perform 7 separate ATTACK ACTIONS in one turn without Lost involvement. Doesn't matter if the shots hit or miss. Rapid Fire, Faceoff, and other multi-attack actions only count as a single attack command, even if multiple shots are taken in the attack.


(BRONZE TROPHY)
ONE-SHOT WONDER: On video or with image(s), have the Killshot ability deal 50 or more minimum damage. Lost kills permitted.

BISHOP TROPHIES:
- Your one or two deployed soldiers must have the Corporal perk "Bishop" to earn these trophies.

(GOLD TROPHY)
HIGHLANDER: On video from mission start to mission successful - Deploy only a single Bishop soldier and win a non-covert ops mission with him or her deployed alone.


(SILVER TROPHY)
QUEENS OF CARDS: On video from mission start to mission successful -
1. Deploy 2 or more female-only soldiers that all have the Bishop perk on a non-covert ops mission.
2. They must all be equipped with different weapons and armors (no overlaps)!
3. At mission end both Bishops must have full health.


(SILVER TROPHY)
TRULY HARDCORE: On video from mission start to mission successful -
1. Deploy two soldiers on a non-covert ops mission and win.
2. Both deployed soldiers must have the HARDCORE perk.
3. You may only use conventional (lowest tier) weaponry and armor.


(BRONZE TROPHY)
COMPANIONSHIP: On video or with images show us that you have two soldiers with the Bishop perk who are also bondmates with each other.

ROOK TROPHIES:
- Your three deployed soldiers must have the Corporal perk "Rook" to earn these trophies.

(GOLD TROPHY)
CHECKMATE: On video capture your soldiers getting at least 4 critical hits in one turn.


(SILVER TROPHY)
LIFESAP: On video capture soldiers healing nine or more Health in one turn without using Medikits.


(BRONZE TROPHY)
REVERSAL: On video kill two or more enemies using enemy robotic unit(s) you've hacked in one turn.

FINAL TROPHIES:
- Your one, two, or three deployed soldiers must have the Corporal perks "Knight", "Bishop", or "Rook" to earn these trophies.

(GOLD TROPHY)
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN: On video, complete the final mission (underwater section), with either one Knight, two Bishops, or three Rooks in under 35 minutes on Commander+ difficulty (time starts once tactical has loaded).


(CRYSTAL TROPHY)
KING ME: Complete the other eleven achievements with proof to win this trophy.

hey so, I don't think the Knights 'first three attacks are free" works with things like spartan training and other perks that makes it so your attacks aren't turn ending. This may explain Aoykov's problem as well. Further testing is probably needed, but I am posting now as a heads up.

You‘re right - the OP thing with free melee and movement is understandable ;-)
I had the intention to combine Knight and Samurai class with a primary melee weapon for one unique soldier in my current campaign.
I‘ll keep an eye out for the mod you mentioned.

Also, so glad you're enjoying it!

I know years ago there was a mod with several melee weapons that did different things. I just spent awhile looking for it and couldn't find it sadly. One of the weaker melee weapons allowed you to do a blue melee action "Lightning Slash" for free like every 3 turns which worked really well with the Knight. Maybe someone else remembers which mod it is..?

@boelzebub: Yes, that's by design. "Slash" should work, I believe (that's an ability to attack an adjacent enemy for 1 AP). Moving and then slashing made the Knight overpowered in my opinion.

In the other versions, like LW2, there's an ability that makes the first fleche (move & melee) refund. But I removed it from RPGO because it was OP with other builds as a standalone ability. Movement is so key in XCOM.

Only one question: Is it intended for the knight class that melee attacks aren‘t included in those 3 free actions?

my knights arent getting there first 3 actions free? i dont have any mods that should conflict with it nor any other perks that effect actions/free actions?

Are you asking about perks other than those three at Corporal Rank?
Perks from Sergeant to Brigadier can be given to any soldier without decreasing their aim.
On Mouse-over, the yellow (?) on each perk should give you all information for each perk.

Yea, but when using the RPGO i have a perk i can put a point into respective to the class. you have to send them on missions to get them points to spend on the perk.

So Knights are meant to be deployed Solo. Bishops with 1 other Bishop. And Rooks with 2 other Rooks. Otherwise, you will notice decreased stats.
