While working on the LPWA collection, I've been watching some WWOW for moveset research...and since the rosters have enough of a difference, I figured I might as well make a collection for them, too...It might be interesting for some of us to have an interpromotional feud between these two obscure women's promotions from the early 90s.

Anyway, WWOW (also known as LMLW - Ladies Major League Wrestling) was active for roughly the same time that the LPWA was, but never reached the same level of success or popularity. While several LPWA stars also wrestled in WWOW, both promotions had several wrestlers that did not work for the other promotion, allowing for both promotions to be different enough from each other.

Another big thing of note regarding WWOW, nearly everyone is billed as a champion. While the promotion did have its own titles, they also claimed that most of its roster were champions elsewhere - Sindy Paradise was the Carribbean champion, Bambi was the Georgia champion, Diane Von Hoffman was the European champion, etc. None of these champions carried physical belts with them to the ring - only the WWOW champions did.

WWOW Ring Apron
Created by psychoapeguy
In the middle of my LPWA research for my recent uploads, I decided to watch the little footage of WWOW that I have since the promotions shared many wrestlers. I rediscovered this ring that I completely forgot about. The logo is not 100% the same logo - due...

Penelope Paradise
Created by psychoapeguy
I was going to try to describe Penelope Paradise, but her manager, Luna Vachon put it best..."Trying to describe Penelope Paradise is like trying to use a screwdriver to cut roast beef." In WWOW Penelope Paradise was in an interesting feud with Sindy Parad...
Candi Devine
Created by psychoapeguy
Candi Devine was one of the most successful female wrestlers of the 80s, winning the AWA Women's title multiple times, mostly trading the title back and forth with Sherri Martel. After the AWA folded, she appeared in the LPWA a few times. Usually under a m...
Judy Martin
Created by psychoapeguy
Judy Martin is a former WWF Women's Tag Team champion as one-half of the Glamour Girls with Leilani Kai (managed by Jimmy Hart). She also (unsuccessfully) attempted to get the WWF Women's title from Rockin' Robin at the 1989 Royal Rumble pay-per-view. In t...

Leilani Kai is a former WWF Women's champion (managed by the Fabulous Moolah) as well as a former WWF Women's Tag Team champion as one-half of the Glamour Girls with Judy Martin (managed by Jimmy Hart). In the LPWA, however, while she and Martin did wrestl...
Bambi
Created by psychoapeguy
Bambi, later known in her career as Selina Majors, was a pretty popular babyface in the LPWA, and very briefly in WCW. Her personality was down-to-earth and sweet, but if anyone got on her bad side, she was quick to throw fists as well. She formed a popula...
Malia Hosaka
Created by psychoapeguy
Malia Hosaka, in her early years, was an underdog babyface that the fans adored. With her trademark back spin kick and frankensteiner, she picked up quite a few wins while part of the LPWA roster. She also formed a pretty popular tag team with Bambi, howev...
Sindy Paradise
Created by psychoapeguy
Sindy Paradise, despite having one of the worst win-loss records in LPWA history, was easily one of the most memorable and popular from the promotion. Her ability to make it look like she was being destroyed by her opponents, while fantastic, was likely th...
Luna Vachon
Created by psychoapeguy
Luna Vachon, a member of Kevin Sullivan's Army of Darkness, and 1/2 of the Daughters of Darkness with The Lock. 4 attires. Moveset and logic complete...but as usual, I'll tweak everything over time....
Heidi Lee Morgan
Created by psychoapeguy
Former LPWA Tag Team champion, 1/2 of Team America, Heidi Lee Morgan. Figured the ladies need some tag team love as well. 4 attires. Moveset and logic complete. As usual, everything will be tweaked over time....

Terri Power
Created by psychoapeguy
Known as Tori in the late 90s WWF, in the early 90's, Terri Power ruled the LPWA. 4 attires (last one being Tori DX garb in case anyone just wants her as a valet). Moveset and logic done, but will need to be tweaked....
Banshee
Created by psychoapeguy
I have no idea who was under the hood as Banshee in WWOW, but my guess is that it was a rookie with the plan of having her wear a mask while she's green, then "debut" her without the mask when she's more polished. At times in the ring, her body language ma...
Spectre
Created by psychoapeguy
I'm not sure who was wrestling under the hood, but between her and her tag partner, Spectre looks to be the veteran. My guess it that she may be a veteran helping mentor Banshee, who seems to be a green rookie, under masks so the audience doesn't know who ...
Cadillac Pink
Created by psychoapeguy
Cadillac Pink (also known as Pink Cadillac) was the 1989 Rookie of the Year according to WWOW. She basically acted like a face Andre the Giant would, or Mountain Fiji in GLOW, because at 6'5" and 250lbs., she basically towered over everyone she wrestled. S...
Abdullah Farouk Jr.
Created by psychoapeguy
For those that don't know, the original Abdullah Farouk managed the Sheik in Detroit, but is probably better known for his time in New York (he worked both territories simultaneously - he was that good at what he did) as the Grand Wizard. Abdullah Farouk J...

Bruce Michaels was one of the 3 main referees in WWOW. He also worked for some NWA promotions in the 80s....
Tina Moretti
Created by psychoapeguy
Tina Moretti started in GLOW, wrestling as Tina Ferrari. When David McClaine left GLOW and started a new promotion, she followed and became Nina for a short period of time. From there, she wrestled in most of the all-female promotions in North America (mos...
Babyface Nellie
Created by psychoapeguy
I recently described Babyface Nellie to a friend as a female Iron Mike Sharpe. While she doesn't match Sharpe's size, much like Sharpe's WWF run, she's very vocal in the ring and rarely sees a W in the win column. There isn't much about her online. She see...
Diane Von Hoffman
Created by psychoapeguy
Diane Von Hoffman was hated by the fans...and pretty much adored backstage. She had a long career in professional wrestling, spending time in various promotions...possibly best known for her time in the USWA as the female moondog, Moondog Fifi. Sadly, she ...
Brenda Lee
Created by psychoapeguy
Brenda Lee, known as Big Bad Mama in WWOW, was basically used as an enhancement wrestler despite her size. You'd think that being a 220-pound woman would put her in the position of a "monster heel" role, but she pretty much spent her career looking at the ...
BJ Calhoun
Created by psychoapeguy
I have only seen one BJ Calhoun match. I can't find a single thing about her online. Basically, she westled in WWOW and was billed as a relative of Haystacks Calhoun. One would think that claiming that someone was a relative of one of the biggest draws in ...
Peggy Lee Leather
Created by psychoapeguy
Peggy Lee Leather was also Lady X....I already made Lady X, so why am I making Peggy Lee Leather? Well, Lady X was an LPWA exclusive gimmick for Miss Leather. Nearly everywhere else she wrestled as either Peggy Lee or Peggy Lee Leather (and later Thug for ...
Sheila Fox
Created by psychoapeguy
I'm a pretty big fan of Sheila Fox...yet I can't find anything about her online aside from one match she had with Tina Moretti. She does a great job as a heel, cuts a decent promo, and mostly wrestles a scientific style, but also throws in rough tactics li...
WWOW Red Ring Mat

I've given the LPWA a lot of love with rings, so I felt like I should make a custom ring for WWOW. This ring was never used. I just made it for some variety. Made to go with the WWOW Red Ring Apron....

Debbie Malenko
Created by psychoapeguy
Alright, I kinda broke my rule of only working on LPWA and WWOW wrestlers here....kind of because Debbie Malenko never worked in either organization under that name. However, as Debbie Drake, she did wrestle in WWOW. The main reason I stuck with Debbie Mal...
Wendi Richter
Created by psychoapeguy
I wish I could just put a voice recording in the description so I could describe this edit in my Cyndi Lauper voice. It's 100% accurate. Oh well, anyway, Wendi Richter was the "recognized World champion" in WWOW...then Bambi won a battle royal to become th...
Rustee Thomas
Created by psychoapeguy
Rustee "The Foxx" Thomas was a pretty well-traveled female wrestler in the early 90's. She spent a lot of time bouncing between the LPWA, WWOW, POWW, and various other indie promotions. In the LPWA, she was mostly beaten by the good girls, but was briefly ...
Joanne McCartney

I tossed around whether I wanted to make Mrs. McCartney on here or not...then decided to just go for it. The reason for my hesitation - I don't know if Joeanne McCartney ever had a televised professional wrestling match. You can find a newspaper article on...

Ariel Dee

Vivian St. John
Created by psychoapeguy
Vivian St. John, like most female stars when she started out, was trained by the Fabulous Moolah. She often teamed up with Susan Green to form a cowgirl tag team, and eventually retired in 1986. Fast forward about 5 years and WWOW began airing on televisio...
