Summoning Tweaks

Description
Summoning Tweaks increases the max summon amount to 3, with the option to increase/decrease it further, and provides a variety of helpful skills to speed up summon preparation efforts outside of combat.

Features:
  • The max summon cap is set to 3 by default. You can increase or decrease this further in the settings menu (accessed with the Summoning Tweaks menu book, or LeaderLib's mod menu).
  • Infusions can be "copied" for quick mass re-applying outside of combat. This works with Larian's Pet Power mod. Infusion skills have to be memorized for the copying to continue to work, as it's purely meant to be a time-saver.
  • If the script extender is active, summon skill cooldowns are disabled outside of combat, for quicker summoning. This can be disabled in the options.

Permanent Summons
Permanent summon durations are in an optional side mod called Summoning Tweaks - Permanent Summons. This mod works with all regular and modded summons.

Mod Settings
With the extender enabled, mod settings are available in LeaderLib's "Mod Settings" menu, under the game's Options menu in-game.

Support
If you're feeling generous, an easy way to show support is by tipping me a coffee:

All coffee goes toward fueling my modding efforts. Thanks!

Summon Preparation Enhancements:
  • After using a summon skill, a "Summoner's Contract" is added to your inventory. Use this to recast the last used summon spell outside of combat instantly, with no cooldown. No longer do you have to wait several minutes to summon an army!
Bonus: This also resets the summon skill's cooldown.
Note: The auto-adding of the contract can be disabled in the settings menu, but nesting it away in a backpack on your Summoner is another approach.

  • After using a summon skill, you gain the skill "Dismiss Summon". This only works outside of combat, and allows you to dismiss your permanent summons in a respectable area-of-effect.

Settings Book
The settings book is available at the following traders:
  • All Acts: Old Man Lothar (LeaderLib Trader)
  • Act 1 / Fort Joy: Nebora
  • Act 2 / Reaper's Coast: Trader Bree
  • Act 3 / The Nameless Isle: Trayde the Merchant
  • Act 4 / Arx: Trader Aravae

Also, use the Animal Empathy gift bag thing and ditch Pet Pal if you're using DU. You'll get the features of both mods and still be able to talk to critters. Decent workaround.

Found out it's due to the changes that Divinity Unleashed makes to Pet Pal. Weird interaction. There's also a much more recent version of this mod on Nexus, so go get that instead of this.

Disabling the Divinity Unleashed mod fixed the issue. This is despite Summoning Tweaks being right at the bottom of the load order, and Unleashed being close to the top.

Having a strange issue: seems this mod refuses to affect whatever avatar character I pick. Anyone I pick up as an additional party member seems to have no problems summoning additional incarnates, however.

@SuppaGamea i have a similar problem and its been this way for ages and i dont know why but essentially you cant have duplicate summons (more than 1 incarnate even of different elements) and i dont know what causes it on my end, could be pet pal but whatever it is...it's mildly annoying

I tested it again, same results...

So, I have encountered a weird bug on my end... It seems that when I get the pet pall perk, I can no longer summon duplicate minions. I was able to summon multiple summons, but they all had to be different types. I will look into this more since I chose to reload to a save where the mod wasn't broken yet.
