Description
WeaponCore has made it clear, it is hostile to modders who try to maintain their works.
Every month, these Files have been damaged, and no assistance or support given to make the work repairing them was ever given.
Entire backend sections changed, and invalidated prior knowledge and Codework, resulting in this mod and every other mod I made needing to be repaired.
Constantly with no Warning, causing any Mod to be effectively unstable.
I can not spend the time, on over 45 mods to repair them every month.


What is HSR?
HSR, is an advanced-weapons-mod counterpart to my HS (Heavy-Series), and is primarily focused on High-End Technology - with numerous multi-Turrets, Seeker-Missiles, most weapons have some kind of specialized feature.

Weapon Specializations & Specs
Each Weapon in HSR, has a focus, and this is detailed in their Description In-Game.
That description includes their Ammo, Range, Characteristics\Traits, Reload Cycle, and even resistance stats.
This means, you don't need to fumble around, when you browse turrets in the G-Menu, you can read exactly what it does - Some Turrets have multiple-Weapons or extra functions, this stuff is listed in the Description on that Turret.

Strategics are reliant on understanding that Description, for best results: They aren't god-tier, but weapons more effective in their niche than other similar weapon systems - often in range, or firepower.

Anti-Missile-Systems, are mounted onto some Turrets - AMS, is a suggested Turret on any ship.
They are the weakness to Missiles.

Tier System

Each Weapon can be divided into 4 Tiers: Tier 1 (Vanilla+), Tier 2 (Moderate Weapons), Tier 3 (Heavy Weapons), Tier 4 (Strategic Class)
Strategic, does not eclipse Tier 3, nor 2, it has wide-spread capability.
Tier 3, typically is more expensive variants of Tier 2.
Tier 1, contains primarily basic-concept weapons, and are the cheapest to enter into HSR style.

--- WeaponCore Based Turrets currently do not require Ammo, only Power for sake of easy testing
So if you build the Ammo (Slugs are available in Vanilla Assemblers for example), you won't need it for now.

  • Block Catagory Tabs in G-Menu for Easy access & Useage of HSR Equipment & Weaponry.
  • Incomplete & Disfunctional Turrets \ WIP Turrets Hidden from View, Previously existing incompletes will remain in-world but can't be rebuilt.
  • Streamlined Ammunition System; Each Weapon Description details their ammo supply, which is typically a Common-pool HSR Ammo.
  • Mechanized Automation of Ammunition Production, without Clogging your Assembler List.
  • Designed to interface with Shields; HSR weaponry is less effective in most cases, when hitting shielded targets.
  • K-3, HSR's Elusive Top-End, is presently not yet re-available , and is being Rebuilt. Their speciality is Multi-Targeting.

How do I get Rail-Components?
Vanilla Assembler, Components Tab.

How do I get Gel Conduit, Hexagol Plate, Pulse-System, etc?
Make an HSR Assembler Pod (or Chamber), select the blue Components Icon, this is an HSR Production tab called "Technology", this makes components.

How do I get Nanites?
HSR Assembler's Resource Tab, it is visually the 3 odd-coloured Ingots Icon.
This handles HSR's specialized resources - if you are using the Tier 1 Stuff, you don't need this, unless making the Cruix.
Regular Assembler has access to Iron & Nickle Recipe for slugs, and the Vanilla resource Recipe for Rail Components.

Will the Other InspiredWeaponry mods be like this?
No. HSR is the most complicated.
Spinal, HS, CIV, and Midnight will use Vanilla resources, and mostly Vanilla components - any custom will be in the Vanilla assembler.


WeaponCore? How about Vanilla?
Vanilla Does not work - Without stripping every gun back to a single-barrel, or laggy explosive-shots on anything with 2 barrels.
Which is hell incarnate, as I tried before, making it not worth the mess.
All Animations also wouldn't work on the Guns, nor would Multi-Turrets without Core.
And no, I don't need someone to 'vanilla' this. Rather not have that problem , Refer to the Legal Disclaimer.

I got incredibly tired of dealing with script framework bugs, However my policy for mods means anyone that wants to, can do so, they just link back to the original.

One of the major stop gap issues is the sheer size of HSR, its like 125 guns. I had moved this mod twice between scripts, and after the WC mess, I moved onto actual game development so I don't have to deal with mods trying to crash my shit

@Kreeg I've had more luck getting weapon mods that use Vanilla+ to work than I ever did with WC.

WC was fine during its early stages but I guess the coders let the fame get to their head and started to add more and more "Features" that either work half the time or not at all.

With Vanilla+ all it does is add an extension to Vanilla weapon capabilities, such as Heat Seeking missiles. Vanilla+ is also A LOT more stable and smaller in file size.



Would you maybe consider moving this mod to Vanilla+ or look into it to see if its possible? If not I was just putting it out there

After WC did its malware bullshit, it relented and allowed multiple authors to create versions of the codebase including ones that did enforce exclusivity or macro-scale deletions. By having a dependency set-up, it would prevent users from choosing which one they wanted as it would always load the original which due to the coder, contained code to automatically kill-switch any and all other versions with an ID check. And without a crash line, I have to assume WC just bricked itself again as its an unstable mess, hence the massive text at the top of the page

Crash is also likely from missing an WC framework, as they're not auto-added so users can pick what version to use.
