Medical Dissection

Description
Ever wondered what to do with those piles of dead pirates? Your doctors are still training by installing ped legs on prisoners? Then you need a dissection table in your game!

Features
- Performing dissections allows your doctors to train their medicine skill on humanlike corpses
- A small research unlocks the dissection table and allows you to add bills on them (already unlocked in classic scenarios)
- Colonists assigned to the new "Study Medicine" work type will perform dissection bills at a dissection table to train their skill
- Dissecting a single body takes 1.5 ingame hours and grants 3000xp (adjustable in settings)
- Colonists will not perform dissections if doing so would exceed the daily learn threshold too much
- Dissection destroys random body parts and organs from the corpse
- Colonists may accidentally destroy corpses in the dissection process (lower chance with higher medicine skill)
- A corpse can only be dissected once (A "Allow dissected" and "Allow not dissected" filter can help you to set up your storages and butcher bills efficiently)
- Dissections adds thoughts to the colonist performing them (mood buffs/debuffs depending on their passion for medicine)
- Custom tales - You might discover an artwork illustrating a dissection

Compatibility
There are no known incompatibilities with other mods. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.

Harvest Organs Post Mortem
The mod contains a patch for Harvest Organs Post Mortem (HOPM). If HOPM is installed, you can add dissection bills on autopsy tables. The required research changes to Basic Autopsy. The dissection table is still available but can only be used for dissections, not for organ harvesting.

Alien races
The mod currently only allows dissection on humanlike races. Mods based on "Humanoid Alien Races 2.0" by erdelf are supported. Add an issue if you would like to dissect non-humanlike races. Please include the name of the mod adding that race.

Save game compatibility
The mod can be added to existing saves but you will need to fix your work priorities afterwards (because it adds a new work type). It is not safe to remove the mod from an existing save after doing the first dissection.

Multiplayer support
This mod does not support multiplayer and will likely cause desyncs.

Medical Training
Medical Training is a different mod than this one. It has the same core idea with a more minimalistic implemtation. Please take a look, if you're looking for a simpler mod to train your doctors.
Note: I didn't know about Medical Trainign when I first developed this mod but both have their upsides in my opinion.

Just confirming all the issues reported by other people. That's with like 7 mods (all of them being for turrets or meat aside from this one) and having restarted the game after changing settings, on pawns with varying levels of passion.
How easy would it be to switch from the github version to this one when it's fixed?

For anyone wondering, i confirm what Greysuki said: the GitHub version works fine while the one on steam sadly not (i wonder if it's the new interface that have some problems).

This is a pretty good mod, but i dont think you need a entire research tab for one project.

Possibly stupid question, I could be missing something obvious, but I'm getting nothing like 3000xp per corpse. It's something like 800 instead. It's a pawn with passionate interest in medical. Am I missing something?

Thanks I'll check that out. I've gotten used to colonies where I can train most pawns up to a decent medical skill with dissection, I'd rather not go back to needing to make up some contrived doctoring excuse like patching up injured animals with scaria or turning prisoners into living practice dolls

The body is always destroyed regardless of the config settings. Also, the experience gained is extremely low and appears to depend on the doctor's skill.

The GitHub version seems fine to me, so I suspect a recent update might have caused this issue.

Oh, and by the way, I didn’t see any errors before or after the dissection.

I'm getting a pretty small amount of exp per dissection and changing the value I pick under options for "exp per corpse" doesn't seem to have any effect. Is this a known issue at all?

thanks for removing the dependency. regarding the error, I guess, it happens when Character Editor generates a pawn without ability to perform medical works, but I'm not sure.

Just started using the mod after the July 29 update, and no combination of the settings seems to allow the body to not be destroyed by the dissection. Tested on new colony using only harmony and hugslib with colonists with less then 10 medical skill.

Updated the mod with a few small changes:
- Removed HugsLib dependency (@тетеря, блин)
(If you used non-default settings, you'll have to configure them again)
- Changed optiomal room type of the dissection table to Laboratory (@uerminosa)
(Does not affect the table from "Harvest Organs Post Mortem" if you use both mods)
- Made the dissection table paintable

@тетеря, блин do you have some steps to follow to reproduce the error? Might be caused by another mod that doesn't expect custom work types. It seems fine when generating pawns with only this mod installed. The exception stack trace seems to point to Superniquito.TraitIcons but I'm not certain if that mod is causing the error.
