Major Features:

  • Gameplay is divided into three battle stages:

    1. Battle Stage I (BS1): Emphasizes infantry, light armor, artillery, and fortifying for later stages.
    2. Battle Stage II (BS2): Revolves around medium tanks and medium assault guns, with off-map bombardments to break enemy lines.
    3. Battle Stage III (BS3): The final stage—unleash formidable heavy tanks and heavy assault guns, with powerful off-map support to decimate enemy forces.

  • All factions have been reworked from scratch—but none are overpowered. You can win with any army, each with distinct, historically inspired playstyles.

  • Environmental destruction has been enhanced for greater immersion.

  • All buildings have been reworked; ambient structures can now withstand more damage before collapsing.

  • All units have been rebalanced with inspiration from WW2 history—balance is the priority.

  • Directly control veterancy and economy via a new universal base building: the “Supply Yard.”

  • Many new units have been added, e.g., Sherman Jumbo, T30 Heavy Assault Tank, British Churchill A43 “Black Prince,” Panzer IV Ausf. F1, SU-100, 25-Pounder, Knights Cross Holders, Snipers, Vehicle Recovery Half-tracks (all factions), Concrete Bunker, Pantherturm, new hull-down animations (British and OKW), Trench Network, Concrete Blast Wall (all factions), Tank Riders (USA and Soviets), etc.

  • All commanders and their abilities have been reworked.

  • Certain commander abilities (e.g., heavy tanks, artillery, air support) can be unlocked through base-building upgrades.

  • Tanks are powerful, but without infantry support you cannot dominate the battlefield.

  • Half-tracks can heal troops, repair vehicles, and act as forward retreat points. Vehicle recovery half-tracks can recover destroyed vehicles for all factions.

  • All support units (including AT guns and light infantry support guns) can retreat; all core infantry can sprint.

  • All support units (including AT guns, light infantry support guns, mortars, and immobile heavy artillery guns) can camouflage.

  • Heavy artillery has been overhauled: longer ranges, longer barrages, and greater suppression—at a munitions cost.

  • Most on-map artillery shells and rockets can inflict vehicle criticals. A well-placed barrage from a self-propelled gun can halt an armored assault.

  • Numerous defensive structures have been added for all factions. Tank traps and other barricades no longer require commander abilities.

  • New skins have been added for units that cannot use custom skins.

  • Demolition charges are available to all factions; they can wipe infantry, destroy bridges and buildings, and inflict vehicle criticals.

  • Goliaths can destroy bridges and buildings, wipe infantry, and inflict vehicle criticals.

  • Weapon racks have been added for all factions.

  • 300+ custom icons for new abilities and units.

  • AI has been tweaked for an intense, challenging experience.

(Armies)


USA:
  • The most versatile fighting force of all.
  • React to enemy tactics anytime, anywhere on the battlefield.
  • Upgrade resource caches into strong Observation Posts to hold key territories.
  • Strengths: versatility, maneuverability, and air superiority.


British:
  • The most defensive faction, with a wide array of emplacements.
  • Employ top-tier infiltration units and tactics to harass behind enemy lines.
  • Hull down your tanks to make defensive lines formidable.
  • Powerful artillery and air-superiority abilities can repel any attacker.


Soviet:
  • Call in wave after wave of infantry and tanks to overwhelm the enemy.
  • Upgrade resource caches into strong Observation Posts to reinforce your troops and sustain the push.
  • Field large formations of heavy tanks and assault guns, plus super-artillery, to crush the enemy.
  • Keep the Soviet Air Force on station to support ground operations.


Wehrmacht:
  • A balanced faction supporting both defensive and aggressive play.
  • Hull down your tanks to set up mobile defenses.
  • Smash the enemy with well-timed Blitzkrieg attacks.
  • Complement your playstyle with powerful off-map abilities.


Oberkommando West:
  • A defensive playstyle with varied fortifications at your disposal.
  • Hull down your tanks to fortify key positions.
  • Patience is rewarded with Germany’s finest troops, tanks, and equipment.
  • Lacks direct air support; relies on powerful artillery abilities.

Great mod honestly, I'd wager it being a best contender for COh2 mods. As Wikinger isn't good mod. Only good thing wikinger has is the tank combat, by which even that is bias for the allied side. But atleast in wikinger, the IS-2 can actually 1 shot tanks.

Outside of that, spearhead has it's ups and downs, decent for pvp, alot of special units that are nice, but there's also a very noticeable allied bias there and equally soviet tanks way under perform.

This mod, has a high damage for infantry, thats good, whilst having a vanilla but good tank damage output. If one loves vanilla and is tired of the other mods, this is a very well place thats like vanilla, but better.

One downside I have to say, is the US M8 Stuart is unfair and annoying in pvp/ pve. It's ability to fire on the move rapidly as a howitzer on and on and on and the mobility means you can never really run it down with other tanks. Which makes gameplay very annoying.

The best mod! No kidding, this is the only mod that is on par with Spearhead, but even surpasses it! He's not as hardcore as spearhead, but he gives you a lot of opportunities, which is just phenomenal! Dear developers, you are unlikely to answer me, but thank you for your hard work!
