This map has been converted from the original version with Mass Transit roads to vanilla roads. You choose whether you want to use any mods.

The Map Theme Mossy Mountain is actually NOT required. If you want to use one of the many themes that look tropical but are created on the Temperate template, just select the theme you want from the dropdown when starting a new game, say "yes" when it says "do you want to use a default theme?" (this is a lie! :D ) and you should see whatever theme you chose in that dropdown menu.

Note: YOU WILL NOT SEE HEAVY TRAFFIC FOR A WHILE. This is on purpose. They are at the edge of the map. Once your island grows you will start to have traffic challenges to conquer. Hint: one will appear in your start square once you expand quite a bit ;)

The highway system has been built in because, like many of my maps, the terrain can be quite challenging to build decent infrastructure that works. You are free to delete as you wish!

Thanks to Mr Maison and Pdelmo whose creations make this map possible!

Yup, it's nothing wrong with anything you're doing - the default game (without mods) does not allow trees to be painted on any area that shows rock face. A couple mods disable that rule and allow you to paint trees on mountainsides. That's how we make nice forests on mountainsides like on this map.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. You don't need the Forest Brush mod to do this. I meant and/or. Extra Landscaping Tools is a problem-free mod. Forest Brush is a bit more complex and has needed updating over time. Try out ELT first :)

Hi there, if you are using no mods, you'd have to click each one (imagine how things were when we had no mods for this!:winter2019joyfultearssnowman:) you'll be able to put forests on mountainsides if you use Extra Landscaping Tools mod, and also the newest Forest Brush mod.

The map looks great but I'm not a huge fan of the starting roads.

The creator of the bush and I chatted about it once I found this out. When an asset (tree, building, prop) is imported by the creator, they select an existing item as a "template" which gives it its AI values. He picked something that was attached to that free DLC (Pearls from the East) and so the bush is attached to that DLC. Since the DLC is free, and since an item in a map will only show up missing just once, I thought it was not a big enough deal to require removing the bush from my map, and him reimporting and republishing his bush would be a lot of work (a lot more work than me removing it from the map!).

@John McCreedy - luckily that DLC is free for everyone! Nevertheless, if you don't want to download that DLC it's not a problem. The WildflowerBush will just not show up when you start a new game, without any consequences. It will show as missing on Loading Screen Mod the first time, then it will be gone forever.

Thanks @m4gic!
