Mind explaining why? For other Source Engine games that I have it automatically caps the framerate to 144 on my 144hz G-Sync monitor, even if fps_max is set above that. V-Sync is turned off on all of my games + on the Nvidia Control Panel. Only G-Sync is enabled in the control panel for fullscreen & windowed games.
