Head to C:\Users\-user-\AppData\Roaming\AirshipsGame\steam\mods\MOD-256493845-Modern Military Weapons Pack\MG36 mod2\ModuleType, then go to "YoullProbablyFindWeaponsHere.json".

In there, all the original names of the guns are listed as they were before the names were generalized.

Ultimately though, it's a tier 5+ tech that requires ~3 branches of research, so I'm sure enough time in this universe and someone could find a way to get enough milage out of some sort of explosion to actually get results against warships. :?

I've seen a bunch of charts, diagrams, etc, yeah. HEAT rounds in a WWII rifle chambered for tiny dakka is a bit silly tho for sure. Hopefully will find realistic use when rocket launchers, recoilless rifles, and other thicc shoulder-mounted guns find their way into the mod. But for now, let's just trust that the mad lads who designed the rounds knew what they were doing and these rounds are generally functional and probably safe for use. xD

Now that the game's released and EXTREME changes (like this newfangled tech tree) will slow down, I feel more comfortable getting back into gear. First thing's first is getting this into the Tech Tree instead of being a city tech. Can't wait to see you soon. o/

Last note: Direct Dmg will be removed, and the Bonus requirement will be reassigned to specific cold war era and beyond weapons. No WWI/II weapons will require the "Modern Guns" bonus.

Also, I mis-interpreted something. By Module affinity, that is actually Construction Affinity in the game files. Woops.

1. Module affinity is used by the AI in Campaign to determine what parts it will want to use.

2. Direct damage does indeed bypass damage reduction from armor. That's why I want to put a cap on the weapons, and to do that I force people to use the charge so as to hard-nerf the parts during campaign. You gotta choose between your Harpoons, your Aireal torpedoes, Ect., or your Modern Weapons.

What is module affinity, is this a thing in vanilla or exclusive to mods/your mod? And in your discussion regarding the mod you say there is 'direct damage' do you mean damage that bypasses blast/piercing reduction of armor?

I know you were hoping for the M19, but all I could find was that turreted Mk19, so I'ma give you the M32 MGL. Again, gonna need a crowd complaining about not having one before I put in essentially an arty piece.

BTW the Mk 48 machine gun is a varient of the M249 that is able to fire 7.62

@Skingus. M249 and M240 added. Gonna do the Barrett XM109 AMPR next. About your other requests, our men can't hold those weapons when they go out on the field, so we'll leave those to the other modders. And the Mk19 has the odd issue of "no bullet has an arc of fire," so unless it's 100% ok with you I can't make a true grenade launcher, more of a rifle-mounted RPG, you know?
