In there, all the original names of the guns are listed as they were before the names were generalized.
But still somehow you have HEAT... NANI?!

2. Direct damage does indeed bypass damage reduction from armor. That's why I want to put a cap on the weapons, and to do that I force people to use the charge so as to hard-nerf the parts during campaign. You gotta choose between your Harpoons, your Aireal torpedoes, Ect., or your Modern Weapons.
